@pottsjustin Thanks Justin! We've been doing trials with a few universities in the US over the past couple months to see how students are using it. We're hoping to gain more insight into that with this launch and adapt the product based on feedback.
Design looks fresh and love the name.
The focus reminds me a bit of Islands (cc @gregisenberg). I'm curious if you can share how people are using it now. The most fascinating thing about new social products is discovering patterns or unexpected use cases that emerge once it's out there.
@gregisenberg @rrhoover Thanks Ryan! What we've seen so far is that students are forming groups based on shared-interests and using the group messaging feature for class projects. Will write an article on it when we get more data in a few weeks :)

Congrats on the launch Backpack team @marianoavila @max_steitle @forestp 👏 I have always been impressed by @marianoavila 's design and again he doesn't disappoint, Backpack's design is so good!!
I can't try it but based on the screenshots, it looks perfect for everything a college student need to be organized for 👍
I started college yesterday so Backpack will come handy if it launches on my campus 😉 Do you plan to make to launch outside US?
