Image manipulation and processing have always been an area of interest. Out of curiosity, I created a package to do just this - ColorDetect. This takes in an image or a video and returns the most dominant colors found. As a bonus point, it allows segmentation of the said image. That is, you can make the whole image monochrome and retain only the color you are interested in. Suitable applications of this would fall into the fashion industry where designers can grab colors from inspiration/source images. I would appreciate any feedback or improvements/suggestions you might have.
