I initially installed this on a couple of blog posts and saw a 220% increase in email subscribers for those posts. It's now on all of our blogs at LeadFuze. @casjam Do you have some tips for how to best utilize this plugin? Maybe explain how it integrates with different email providers as well!

Brian seriously knows his stuff when it comes to content marketing. He executes consistently and with quality better than maybe anyone else I know. I wouldn't hesitate to do everything he suggests :). I don't use the Content Upgrades since we've already developed a workflow for doing just this, but if it were available when we started doing this, I'd have just bought the plugin instead and saved loads of time!

@tnorthcutt Thanks for the kind words Travis! Ya, I used to set them up manually for years. Really wish I had the plugin sooner too, it just didn't make sense to develop it until we needed it in Audience Ops.

Brian, does Content Upgrades support syncing with Aweber now?

Thanks for posting @jus10mcgill! We initially developed this plugin to use internally at Audience Ops. Instead of setting up these email opt-ins and autoresponse emails manually each time (huge time suck!), this tool streamlines that entire process. Integrations... Currently, it integrates seamlessly with Mailchimp and Drip. So those who opt in for your bonus content are automatically subscribed and tagged accordingly in those tools. You can also export a CSV of all entries, which can be imported into any tool. We'll be rolling out more integrations in the weeks ahead. Tips... Well, as anyone who has used the "content upgrade" strategy knows, these convert particularly well, simply because the bonus content you're offering in the content upgrade is *highly relevant* to the topic of the article it came with. That would be my first tip. Here are two more tips: - Actionable. The more actionable or useful you can make the bonus content, the more attractive it will be to readers. Checklists, templates, worksheets, etc. are excellent bonus giveaways you can offer in your content upgrades. - Consistency. The more blog posts that you add content upgrades to, the more "entry-points" to your email list. This dramatically grows your email list over time as you publish more and more content. We do content upgrades on every single blog post we do at Audience Ops. Finally, here's an article I wrote all about Content Upgrades, best practices, and how to fit them into your funnel: http://audienceops.com/content-u... I'm happy to answer any questions about strategy or the tool! Reach out to me at @casjam :-)
