This mysterious teaser video just dropped at E3. I'm very curious to see what they're building but rumors are it's a new console. Other ideas!?
Alejandro
@rrhoover maybe new retro console? 😁
Mack Flavelle
@rrhoover that would be super weird and perhaps excellent. I would be excited.
Elliot Volkman
@rrhoover Kinda doubt this is the same thing, but I got a pitch over the weekend about the Atari and Sega Flashback systems that are basically like the NES Classic (built in emulator)
Arthur
@elliot_s_volkman @rrhoover I suspect this is very similar to a NES Classic with all of Atari's greatest hits built-in.

Interesting.
Nicholas Glenn
Cause their last few consoles went over really well.

When was the last time Atari released anything?
Patrick Thompson
@gabriel__lewis Last year? They still publish games.

Could this be why the new blade runner has the Atari logo in the trailer? (Year 2049)

Atari Europe and where I work literally share the same floor in the same building πŸ˜‚! They're so secretive 😟. I don't know who works there and what they're doing! My guess is retro console, but more like the Ouya.

All I want is a re-release of the E.T. game.

The hardware design is definitely a nod to the original Atari 2600... but I'm hoping it's more than just another retro console that only plays classic Atari games. Their website has a button for "Dev" to email them for more info about their platform which is a good sign.

Why registering `ataribox.com` privately? sounds like a hoax to me ``` Name: Registration Private Organization: Domains By Proxy, LLC ```
Robert Edwards
@djseika That's a common practice for websites to proxy the ownership so the company doesn't get hit with tons of spam at their physical address.
dj seika
@robertcedwards You are right, but having in mind that they are Atari, their address should be well known and they should be receiving tons of spam anyways, don't you think?
Robert Edwards
@djseika definitely true, I know that it's our default when we're registering new domains, but yeah a little questionable, maybe just setup by an ad-agency that did the web work too…

If I wanted products which don't exist yet I would go follow kickstarter or basicly the 'news' . Stop littering the feeds with these
