Hi, team PH!
More and more people are using async voice to communicate effectively these days, with 7 Billion voice notes exchanged every day on WhatsApp alone (even @rrhoover switched 🫶).
With Async, we've imagined a world where work communications were more respectful of everyone's time and more human.
Today marks a new era in Async's journey. Bringing the power of asynchronous communications to where you work.
Email being the most popular async communications tool by far, and also, the coldest 🥶, we wanted to build the best way to bridge voice and email, right inside of Gmail.
Announcing Async for Gmail: Making Email More Human.
Have you ever wanted to respond with a voice note to an investor asking for an update? A candidate? A ref check?
👉 Record an async voice note right from Gmail’s compose window, and your recipient will be able to listen to it, read the AI summary & transcript, and add timestamp reactions to address the different topics in the note. All of this without having to create an account!
But that's not it. Same extension, multiple powers ⚡️
Meet Async for Chrome: the fastest way to share feedback or context on anything you’re working on.
Sharing a quick voiceover on top of a docsend deck to give context on your raise? Of a Figma to give feedback on a new design? Of an Airtable doc before sharing your new CRM?
👉 Find our mic at the bottom right of the screen, start recording, and the URL you’re currently browsing is automatically attached to the voice note. Then, share to any of your Gmail or iOS contacts or simply grab the URL and insert it anywhere.
Hope you'll enjoy this new addition to the Async family, and please share your feedback here, I'll be here all day!
@kingromstar I often respond to emails with a voice note. Examples : an investor asking me for an update, a candidate we're currently interviewing who needs more info from me, a reference check someone's asking me about a previous employee, a contractor to whom I need to give more details about.
Async voice notes are between an email, and a zoom. More human than email, less time consuming than a Zoom :)
Would it be possible to have this on email management software like Spark or Superhuman? I admit I don't use gmail at all to check my mail, but the product looks really good!
@yannsalv0 if you install Async's mac app (https://async.com/download), you'll be able to use the mac menu bar to quickly record an async and grab the link that you can insert into your desktop email client. Ping me in case it's not clear :)
