Create interactive demos in minutes that can be embedded on websites, blog posts, email, or tweets. Get your prospective users to try before they buy, and turn all users into power users.
«Your product changed? No worries, just update the Arcade and it will automatically update across all your properties.» ◀️ THIS! This is golden!!
Much better than recording videos and GIFs that you need to manually change everywhere if the product changes. Let alone risking confusing users who find an old tutorial on Twitter or something and the UI looks nothing like the current one.
Congrats! 👏👏👏
@anna_0x Thank you Anna! Arcades are automatically updated, so if you make any change on an Arcade, this one will automatically update where it was shared or embedded, no need to change the link or the embed code. Thank you for your support 🕹️
Stumbled upon an Arcade embed once and it absolutely WOW-ed me!
It helps you "show the product" — in an interactive, elegant format. Will definitely give it a spin at Specify.
@fmerian Merci Florent 🇫🇷💙 and congrats for Specify, "Introduction to design tokens" from '21 has been very helpful for me while I started the foundations of the DS!
I am super excited about this product - i hate having to sit on calls and do demos, and i also hate having to sign up for trials just to get my hands on how the thing actually works and seeing if it really fits my needs. Thanks for building this, and congrats on the launch!!
@caroline_clark yeah i was actually wondering if there's some way to integrate it with my tip generator, but it kinda demos itself when you click the button for a tip 😂 open to ideas though if you can think of how to use it! (and i do have on my to do list to incorporate this as part of any functional apps i build down the road - have to build those apps, and then have to actually have landing pages explaining them and i get too many ideas i rarely get to that second part. you'd think as an ex-marketer i'd be better at that 😂)
Thanks, @britt_joiner! I've sat in on countless demos and sadly, given countless sales demos over the years myself. What you describe is exactly why we built Arcade. Buying and selling software shouldn't be so painful.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
About eight months ago, we launched Arcade for the first time. We were floored by the response. Since then, we’ve had over 1k companies publish over 4k external demos! The Product Hunt community is a big reason why we were able to gain the amount of traction that we have.
What is Arcade? We’re an interactive demo platform. We make it easy for you to create, edit, and publish demos (or Arcades, as we call them). You can also measure success and engagement dropoffs with our out of the box analytics.
Today, we’re coming out of beta and launching Arcade 2.0! We’ve been making major updates to our product functionality, including:
📈Product-led: Unlike most of our competitors, we’re actually product-led! You can go right to our website and get started within minutes. We’ve made a lot of investments in a great self-service experience. No more waiting for someone to respond to your “requested a demo” form.
🕹 Arcade Play: We rebuilt our Chrome extension to automatically make video snippets based on actions such as scrolling, drag and drop, and entering text. Press “Record Demo” in our extension to see what we mean!
🥁 Interactive emails and GIFs: We’ve doubled down on our GTM user base who love embedding Arcades inside of homepages, emails, social media and onboarding flows. Since launching, we’ve redesigned our chrome extension to create interactive video based on user actions, and we now support interactive Arcades inside of Gmail, Outlook, Superhuman, and Github! We also allow you to export Arcades as GIFs if you want to promote across channels.
👨👩👧👦 Arcade Teams: If you are a creator and want to collaborate with others inside your company, check out our new Arcade Teams product (in beta). We have signed contracts with Atlassian, Carta, Sentry, AngelList and many more!
🎨 A completely redesigned UI: We gave our product a nice facelift with our new design language.
We’re also one of the easiest interactive demo tools to use. Our median time to publish is 7m. We have a generous free tier as well. Try it out for yourself: http://arcade.software/.
@caroline_clark Congrats on the launch! Just tried it out,
A couple of observations:
1. My use-case involves selecting text and right-clicking on the chrome context bar so it shows up as multiple clicks on the same purple ripple.
2. The demo I'm doing is for inboxpirates, a chrome extension itself, so when I click on a button it takes me to a different tab, I don't see an option to switch the tab mid-way to the current active tab in chrome - is there?
Awesome product though, previously was using a software called shepherd.js and usetiful to accomplish this, it could be a game changer like Loom.
@goforbg Thanks for this thoughtful feedback.
1. I think what you are saying here is that the right click is not showing up inside the demo? Have you tried "Advanced Options" and using a video?
2. Yes, this a challenge. We only capture windows, not chrome extensions themselves. We hacked this a bit with our chrome extension but we used videos and then uploaded them as MP4s. Longer term, we want to invest in a desktop application that can solve this...but it will be a while!
@goforbg thanks for checking us out. Arcade can capture Chrome Extensions, however you may have to capture your demo flows a few different times. For example, today, the extension captures the webpage. If you want to capture UI that's outside of the page (e.g., Chrome's popup widget), you may need to capture that with a screenshot/screencast tool then upload the assets to your Arcade recording. We do this exact technique on our own Arcade on our website: https://www.arcade.software/#how...
Wow, can't wait to try this out for Outdone! Looks like such an awesome product. And well done on the intro vid, that was great. Congrats on an awesome launch!
Congrats @caroline_clark@rich_manalang and team 🙌 We have been using Arcade since its first launch and it has been a game changer in how we run onboarding, support, and customer success! Congrats on v.2.0 🚀
This is so cool!!!
Amazing, how easy it is to prepare a demo!
I'm saving it, cuz I'll need it for my product when the time comes. Congrats on the launch 👏
@andrea_todorova1 Thank you Andrea, wish you all the best in building your product and we will be very honored if you give us a try when the time comes 🕹
Your website use case section makes more sense to me than anything. This makes me understand your product better than here PH. This will be helpful for many try before buy users. Good Luck
Such an amazing product and team. We’ve been using Arcade for a while and it really helped us take our product marketing to the next level. It’s so easy to create interactive product demos and share them with customers 😍 Also, Caroline and the whole Arcade team never stop surprising us with new delightful features and their customer support is the best. I strongly recommend Arcade to anyone who wants to stand out with beautiful release notes and product tours! Go, team! 💪
@mboudoukhane THANK YOU Mehdi! You've been an early supporter from the beginning, and honestly I am getting emotional just thinking about the ways that you've supported Arcade in the past year. You are in many ways a role model in terms of great product design, so we're really happy to hear that you like our tool!
This looks super promising. Very excited to try this out. Man, is there a need for simple and straightforward software to create demos for your products!
Hey @caroline_clark , @rich_manalang every time we release a feature, I'd love to create a quick video for a demo for it. But honestly, wasting time filming and editing is a huge pain. So the need is there, but if the solution requires the same or more time, it's not worth it. You guys are positioned to solve this problem. Don't be afraid to build something big, revolutionary, and complex (while making it easy for your end customers, of course). Check out this great little thing here (might have a big future if they continue working on it) https://www.indiehackers.com/pos...
@caroline_clark Question:
My product adds live video/audio recording capabilities to Html Forms, thus it would take over the PC camera and display live recording. Would that impair the functionality of Arcade?
Thanks and congrats on what looks to be a very useful tool.
@caroline_clark@lirian Hi Lirian. Arcade's Chrome Extension uses Chrome's media recording APIs to record video and screenshots of the active tab's web page. As long as what you want to record belongs in that page, you're good to go. We have customers that use us to create demos of their Chrome extensions.
But, if you have other things you'd like to demo that's outside of the web page (i.e., native app, mobile app, anything else), there's always an escape hatch... you can upload images and videos to Arcade's editor and stitch them together in a cohesive demo.
It's really a fun product to use! Before Arcade I would have to make screenshots by hand, place the tags in a software like Figma and maybe create a design prototype to get a similar result. Another option was to record long videos that would take a lot of time to edit... In either one of those scenarios I couldn't get as good quality and as quick of a demo as I can with Arcade... I'm a big fan!
@thais_s Thanks so much Thais!! Appreciate the support. We're actually going to be building more features with editing with videos....stay tuned. Or email me with feature requests on that (caroline at arcade DOT software)
Stoked to come across this launch today — just the type of product I need for my business! I've been planning to create some user demos in the coming weeks but was unsure how to go about it. Will definitely be going with Arcade to make these assets. Congrats on the launch @caroline_clark and team! 👏🚀💯
Congrats @caroline_clark and team. Been following the iterations of this product for the past few months and beyond excited for their launch. Definitely give it a spin!
@caroline_clark Yess! 🌻 It's excellent. We even featured a post in our newsletter recently. Looking forward to the next one. And we'd love to host you on Relay (a place where we gather earnest field notes from SaaS founders) for an interview someday as well.
Awesome product built by an amazing team. As an early user, I really enjoy using Arcade to showcase our product on our website or new features within the app. I can't wait to see what comes next!
love it. I came across my first arcade in the help docs for one of your beta customers. I submitted a question and they responded with a link to their knowledge base with an arcade they created to walk me through the right app flow. Suuuper slick, nice work! As an earlier stage product-led company, this is on our PLG stack for sure.
Arcade is the best way to show what your products looks like! I specifically love the email and tweet embed, so useful for new features announcements.
Congrats to the team!
