Hi Product Hunters and Makers! 👋 I’m Samuel, maker of ApyHub. This is our second launch on PH and we couldn't be more excited! 🚀 Last year, we started from scratch with our first launch here and have since grown to a community of 45,000+ developers! So what do we offer? In a nutshell, we offer a diverse range of powerful utility APIs, that help you and your team build leaner applications that can scale, by offloading non-core functionalities. These range from simple conversion, validation, processing tools to cutting-edge AI-powered solutions. Below are some examples: 📂 File Conversion APIs 🖼️Image Processing APIs 📌Thumbnail and code generation APIs 📊Data Validation & Extraction APIs You can check the full catalog of 60+ APIs here Here’s some of the things we have introduced in this latest version: ✅API Playground - Try it Out Want to check quickly how an API works before adding to your application? With this feature, you can make your first API call in seconds. Our API playground makes it easy to try out our APIs right in the browser or through mobile. 🚀 New API Catalogs In our first release, we covered the basics. Now, with 60+ APIs we are here to do more. We will also be publishing our AI catalog with some very interesting utilities that will help you build amazing products! 🔑 Support for more input & output types We want to make our APIs easy to integrate with your applications (including no-code platforms). And we continuously add support to more input & output types (e.g, files, urls, base64 inputs) so that it becomes a straightforward plug and play integration with the widest possible applications. 📑 Consume directly from your Frontend Applications We have enabled our APIs to be consumed directly from your frontend applications, thus reducing latency and reducing the efforts to integrate even further! ➕Easy integration with any programming language We have made sure that you can generate client code in 15+ programming languages (including cURL,C,Go,Javascript, Java, PHP, Python and more..). Just copy, paste in your console / IDE and run it! 📈Advanced Analytics and platform management Track your usage and how many API requests you’ve made, track your API keys, manage your subscription, and refer users, all through your ApyHub dashboard ⚡Exclusive PH offer: we are very grateful to the PH community, who showed us so much love and provided valuable feedback since our initial launch, which is why we are offering 50% off any plan for the first 12 months if you sign up using the code “PRODUCTHUNT” *offer valid for 60 days*⚡ 💬We’re super excited to bring you this version of ApyHub and would love to hear your thoughts and feedback! We’ll be in the comments section below 👇 Have further questions and queries? Join the conversation on our Discord server

@samuelkaluvuri I'm really intrigued by the 'API Playground' concept. A quick question: does the API analytics track usage per API or just total usage? Also, would love to see a bit more about how your AI-powered APIs are different from the competition. Anyway, you've earned my upvote!
Samuel
@nuntio_niklas Hi Niklas, the API analytics by default shows the aggregated usage across all services, but you can always filter it per specific utility API. Thank you for the support, we will keep you posted once we launch the AI services.
Nikolas Dimitroulakis
Hey all, Nikolas here, co founder of ApyHub. Feels great re-launching ApyHub here on Product Hunt! What i love about this release is that utility APIs are now also available for frontend applications. I believe in this capability so much as it unleashes the potential of so many indie developers and hackers!

I have been using ApyHub for a few months now, and I have been very impressed with it. It has a wide range of APIs, and the documentation is clear and concise. I have also found the support to be very helpful. Overall, I would highly recommend ApyHub to anyone who is looking for a platform to discover, test, validate, and consume utility APIs. It is a powerful tool that can save you time and money. @iamsohail and team thank you for adding RSS Utility, this utility saved a lot of time, Scattr.io a cross-blogging platform is using ApyHub

@ako61142833 thank you for your nice comment and questions! All great questions, i will let @samuelkaluvuri and our engineering team give a thorough answer.
Samuel
@ako61142833 @nikolas_dimitroulakis 1- With 60+ APIs currently offered in your catalog, how do you ensure the quality and reliability of each API? Is there a process or standard you maintain to guarantee a high-quality experience for your users? Very apt question - this is indeed by far the most frequently asked question. Providing high quality services is a foundational principle for us. We ensure rigorous testing and quality checks before we publish our utilities. We have detailed SOPs and test cases that each service needs to go through in order to be published. 2- The API playground seems like a great feature for testing APIs. How does it work in detail? Does it provide any error logs or performance reports to help users understand the APIs better? We are particularly fond of this one. So, the API playground is a way for users to test the API quickly without having to leave the platform and play around with the inputs and outputs and see if it fits their requirements. This is mainly focused as a functional testing of the utility. Just to also highlight since we rolled out this feature we have had, 7x increase in usage of our utilities. 3- You mentioned the support for more input & output types. Can you give us more insight into this? What new types have been added and how do they enhance the integration process? This is a very important principle for us, most APIs tend to be rigid in terms of what inputs and outputs they can handle. This means that developers need to adjust their design to the inputs that the APIs can handle, which can go against the design principles of the platform. For example, if an application stores their files on the cloud (S3 / Azure Blob etc), it is far smoother to pass a url (presigned url) for that file, instead of downloading the file locally and submitting the file to the API. That is why we provide multiple inputs and outputs for every service so that developers can just pick what type of inputs (and outputs) are suitable for their application and just use that. 4- You've enabled your APIs to be consumed directly from frontend applications. How does this reduce latency, and can you share more about the security implications of this feature? This allows frontend developers to directly wire ApyHub apis into their applications, and hence there is no reason to proxy these calls from through their backend which means there is no intermediary network call in between. From a security perspective, we allow developers to create API keys for every application and rotate these keys periodically as well. We also allow developers to limit which domains can consume these services (similar to what google does for e.g). 5- For the advanced analytics and platform management feature, what key metrics can users track? How can these insights help them improve their use of the ApyHub APIs? We want to offer as much transparency as possible to every user. The metrics we show include: # of API calls per application and per API. In the free plan we show all these for the past 7 days. In the subsequent paid plans, we are able to show the same metrics for a longer duration. Very long answer, but I hope it answers your questions 🙂

Hi Team! Congratulations with the launch! @nikolas_dimitroulakis @samuelkaluvuri @iamsohail 1) Idea is absolutely clear 2) Idea is actual and needed 3) Website is very neat and accurate 4) Logo and naming - cool 5) Video is perfect You prepared very good. It shows your good architecture skills and gives me the thoughts that you deal with your product the same way. I am not IT (thanks God) but my husband is. All-time debate is to make yourself or to use some library. I know everything about it. So I know that such products as yours are highly estimated in this sphere. I will show it to my team. Put it in my collection
Sohail Pathan
@nikolas_dimitroulakis @samuelkaluvuri @anna_kasumova We greatly appreciate you sharing our product with your team and adding it to your collection. If you or your husband have any further questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you once again for your support!
Nikolas Dimitroulakis
@anna_kasumova 1)Thank you 2)So much 3)For your 4)Support We are looking forward to the feedback of your team (and that of your husband of course) :)
Fabio Salvadori
Grats on the launch and on the app (see my review). May I suggest to consider adding more tracking custom parameters when calling an API and implementing an AI powered Analytics "interrogation" feature, if it makes sense what I'm asking?
Samuel
@fabiosalvadori Fabio, thanks for the review. Very glad that you liked it and found it intuitive to use. Could you explain a bit on the tracking custom parameters part ?
Fabio Salvadori
@samuelkaluvuri Sure. A very simple example: a content creation platform offering automated video watermarking to all its clients who though are on different plans; a custom parameter with user plan being passed via curl and consequent AI powered analytics would be of great value. Also great for A/B campaigns and testing. I hope it makes sense.
Samuel
@fabiosalvadori Hi Fabio, yes. thanks for that. We will discuss internally and try to incorporate your feedback and if there are any questions, i will reach out to you!! Will keep you posted! :)
Sneha Nair
The product looks great. Congrats team.

Nikolas Dimitroulakis
@cyriljeet Cyril it may appear but is it actually?:) Looking for your feedback and final answer when you try it!
Samuel
@cyriljeet Hi Cyril thanks for the support. Looking forward to your feedback once you try it out. (we have a try it out section as well - we call that the API playground).
Congratulations to the ApyHub Team for the launch!! Looks like a very useful product with an extensive set of API's. The API playground helps you test before using it which makes it easy to try our different API's. Will definitely give it a try. Kudos to the team.
Nikolas Dimitroulakis
@dhairya_patel1 thanks! The API playground is indeed the best :) As a non technical co founder, i found this feature extremely useful, as it helped me get a real feel of the APIs, their use and value without having to get my hands really dirty :)
Samuel
@dhairya_patel1 hi Dhairya, glad you liked the product. Indeed API Playground is something we are very excited about, it allows any user to test the utility quickly and visually play around with inputs!
André J
What are the top 3 most used API's in your suite?
Samuel
@sentry_co Hi André, if we take individual services: - email dns (including disposable domains checks) https://apyhub.com/utility/valid... - link preview (including scanning for malicious urls) https://apyhub.com/utility/link-... - thumbnail generation https://apyhub.com/utility/image... But if were to group them by the type of services: - Image & Video processing - Office documents to PDF conversion - Data Generation (QR Codes, full length Web page screenshots, Secure archives etc).
André J
@samuelkaluvuri This is awesome! Bookmarked for when I need it, which is soon. Thanks
Mahmudul Hasan
A diverse range of powerful utility APIs sounds like a game-changer for developers, providing a solution to build leaner and scalable applications by offloading non-core functionalities.
Nikolas Dimitroulakis
@hasan_ui_design thank you and indeed thats the plan! We have actually counted that in most companies around 20% of time is actually spent building these kind of tasks - we found this to be extremely inefficient so we propose APIs as the way to go.
Samuel
@hasan_ui_design thanks Mahmudul, this comes a lot of our own experience building platforms for multiple startups and how inefficient it is that developers spend substantial amount of their time building and then maintaining these solutions.
Amrinder Singh
Hey all, I am Front-end Developer in ApyHub. I have built a super amazing feature for this launch i.e. Usage analytics, Now you can see your usage in form of graphical representation in the platform itself. Please let me know what you think about this :)
