It's interesting to see the continued investment by Amazon in their Clubhouse/Spotify Live competitor. It must be working somehow — maybe on campus?
Anyway — the idea of letting people create their own radio stations — using licensed music — is pretty compelling, compared with how many other platforms now detect and remove any copyrighted materials. Maybe Amazon is willing to foot the bill to find up and coming talent before other platforms do?
They do have the Amp Creator Fund to motivate folks to create early and often on the platform, while other creator funds are drying up.
I haven't tuned into a show yet, so I'm struggling to identify the use case or user base — I'll just have to assume that it's not targeted at someone like me!
