Amato is a simple app that helps you stay in touch with your loved ones. Add people most important to you, set reminders, and never forget to call or visit them.

Love the idea and the execution @anika_seibezeder! Really well designed app that does exactly what it sets out to do. I've been using the beta for a little while now, and it has made a real difference to those relationships. I'm sure many people have the best of intentions for regular contact with their loved ones, but life gets in the way. This app reminds you to make sure that you still take time for those who are important to you!

Thanks for the hunt, @__tosh Hi everyone 👋 My name is Anika and I'm super happy and excited to share Amato with all of you ☺️ 📱How it works 1. Add your contacts - by importing their information from your contact book 2. Set reminders - to check in with them from time to time 3. Add the Amato widget to your home screen - to check their status at a glance 4. Update their status - after a call or visit - or call directly from within the app 💡 Origin of the app I love my grandma. I really do. Unfortunately, I see and talk to her very rarely - mostly on holidays and birthdays. Usually I'm just too busy and totally forget to call her... One day I had an idea to make an app which helps me keep up the relationship with her. It feels great knowing Amato will remind me to check in with her from time to time. 💰 Pricing Amato is free to download with limited features of the app. You can unlock unlimited contacts, contact importing and widget customization with Amato Pro for 0.99$ per month, 8.99$ per year or 24.99$ once. To celebrate WWDC 2022, there'll be a special offer until the end of it (June 10). Just enter WWDC22 to get 50% OFF on your first year 🥳

There was a huge discussion on HN some months ago about this. Curious if you read it and if it inspired you
Anika Seibezeder
@aris_alexis No, didn't read that. I'm curious to know what exactly it was about.

@anika_seibezeder it's basically how to do it with airtables and sheets https://news.ycombinator.com/ite...

Love the concept, love the awareness! We are too stuck in our routines and should never forget the people around us!!
Anika Seibezeder
@inmelo Thanks! I totally agree with you. That's why I made this app 😁
