Almanac leverages the power of AI to predict consumer behavior. It helps retailers and marketers anticipate trends by processing over 4 billion real-world data points each day 🚀
Hey Product Hunt 👊
I'm Sam, founder of Almanac. I'm super excited to share something we've been working on.
What is it?
Almanac is the world's first predictive platform that crunches billions of data points every day to help see into the future.
By leveraging AI to process a multitude of data sets (including geospatial, weather, news, and demographic), Almanac creates a powerful view into how the world behaves. 🌍
Why should you care?
From retail to marketing to real-estate, many businesses can be proactive with access to a prediction of what their customers are doing.
Alongside predictive trends, Almanac provides comprehensive insights into historical trends, movement, and behavior.
Features include:
- Predictive behavior on a national, regional, category, or brand level 📈
- Custom comparisons between any of the above 🔮
- Visitor profile 👽
- Consumer analysis 🛍
- Visits forecast 📍
- Daily heatmap 🔥
- Exportable and actionable 💻
- 3 years historical and 2-month forward-looking views ⌛
Our story
Since personally opening a coffee shop, it was clear that for brick and mortar, predicting trade, trends, and consumer behavior would help save money, improve marketing, and get more customers.
We're making Almanac free through Jan 2021 to help product hunt users smash the holiday season.
@samamrani@caelin_sutch
Hey Caelin, thanks for the question. So far we have launched this product in the US only.
We have had some traction in the US market, but we are still looking for new power users to test the product.
We'd love it if you could join un and help us perfect this product 👍
@samamrani@caelin_sutch Hey Caelin! Yes, we're really excited that we're seeing engagement not just from retailers, but also from shopper marketing companies, real estate (CRE) businesses and researchers - even from academia! We're thrilled that this platform is helping and providing utility to such a wide variety of customers!
@pablo_gomez_perez Hey Pablo. We split our analysis by what we call metropolitan areas.
We have 75 of these in the US. You can drill down further into over 21,000 neighborhoods depending on how granular you want to go.
@marta_rivera No, nuestra finalidad es que cualquier persona que quiera tener acceso no encuentre ninguna dificultad para entender y obtener la información.
De todas formas, nuestro equipo estará siempre disponible para ayudarte si tienes alguna duda! 🙌

@zizzzu Hey Tatyana, thanks for getting in touch.
Absolutely, we built Almanac to work for businesses of all size, especially smaller outlets, to help level the playing-field! 💪
@frankevans7 Hey Frank! We love your thinking.
We certainly thought so when we opened up a coffee shop back in 2017. That's why we built this!
Hopefully other real-world businesses can use Almanac to compete and grow in these challenging times 💪
@daleroof Hey Dale, thanks for the question!
We are currently offering this in the US where we're always expanding the number of neighborhoods that users can analyze.
In 2021 we are looking to bring this tool to some select EU markets, starting with our home, the UK! 🚀
@ishwarjha That's so kind, Ishwar - and yes, you can rest assured that part of the simplicity of our platform is the fact we've curated all the data to not only ensure its efficacy, but also its compliance.
@aris_alexis Hey Aris, thanks for your question.
The BETA version of the API will be available in 2021. Sign up for our newsletter to get alerted of new product releases! 🚀
@matt_taaffe thanks for the feedback, Matt!
Currently, plans start at $249/month. However, early next year we’re introducing a free tier with limited access 🤑
This looks awesome! Out of curiosity, what geographies do you support and is the fixed pricing based on access to certain countries / regions or is it volume-based?
@martin_sahlen Thanks for the question Martin.
At the moment we offer a single tier for unlimited access to the US.
In 2021, as we expand to new markets we will change our pricing to include a free tier with limited access 👌
What kind of consumer behavior can this predict? Something like seasonal changes?
You have a spelling issue on a few pages (milion -> million)

@lpellis hey loftie, we look at factors such as how footfall is impacted by weather, events and demographic change, and we of course evaluate seasonality and trend as part of our model. Thanks for that spelling correction. How silly of us! 🤦♂️
@davidyi12 Hey David, thanks a lot for reaching out.
Almanac is available in areas where we have enough data to make predictions and do complex analysis. This is currently over 21000 neighborhoods that span most of the states in the US.
You can sign up for a free trial to explore all of these and get a clear view of which areas we support 🌏
