@dshan Hi - search for "first republic" to connect your account and a few options for first republic should come up; if you don't see any, please text support – we'd love to work with you to figure it out. Albert savings does not yet connect to first republic, but we'll be adding a lot of banks over the summer. Hope this helps.
@yinonar Bank worked (not worried about Saving yet). Now, how do I remove a credit card? Multiple cards in the same Chase login, but only one pertains to personal spending.
Product Hunt, hello! I'm the founder of Albert alongside @andrzej_baraniak, and we'd love to hear from you. Albert is brand new, just made it into the iOS app store yesterday, and we'd love all of your feedback as we launch the service.
Albert is like a supercharged Mint for mobile. They give you simple, actionable financial advice on an iOS app. Think repaying credit card debt with a low-interest loan or getting renter's insurance. Plus, the founders are super smart, thoughtful humans.
@yinonar love the idea and can't wait to take it for a spin! Would be great to learn if/how your experiences at Openfolio shaped your philosophy behind Albert.
@moinism Duly noted. We based our logo on owl eyes – the idea is that Albert watches over you gently ;) We also liked the idea of infinity, which I guess is the root of both logos as well.
Congrats on the launch @yinonar! My favorite little feature has been the trend cards that compare my spending habits against the average user :) What other features do you have on the roadmap?
@yinonar@andrzej_baraniak Nice design, friendly on-boarding, although I wish people would progressively build up a users profile instead of asking for a lot of info upfront - some of which you may not want to share before you see the app in action. So, what ends up happening is that people give you fake data just to try the app first. Just something to keep in mind.
Looking forward to exploring more.
Will you be supporting Canadian institutions soon? From an early adopters standpoint I think you should be able to link up with the folks at WealthSimple, Nest, Wealthbar, etc quite easily. Maybe even the online brokerages - eg Qtrade.
@zaheer_merali Thank you for the onboarding feedback, that's incredibly helpful. We have not done too much work on Canadian integrations yet, but we agree that the ones you mentioned are definitely important ones to get going on first. Will let you know as we do more research.
@sahilc0 Definitely! If you, or anyone you know, is a kickass android developer that's looking for a sweet gig in LA, please let us know. We're hiring.
Great app! Just started using it and I like it so far.
When I enter my residential address and press Next, nothing happens. Probably a bug?
Also how do I link my Robinhood account?
@sornakumar Hi - yeah, that's a bug, will have it fixed shortly. Thank you for pointing out. Re robinhood, will look into that in the coming months, you're not the first to ask ;)
UPDATE: address bug fixed.
This looks like a very comprehensive tool for someone unschooled in investing and too busy to keep everything in the bank organized. Excited to see how it goes.
@mikedyang everything is automatic, which is awesome. So tired of all these apps where they ask you to self log and you end up not using it because it's no better than if I did it all in excel. Plus the analytics are automatic and awesome
Nice work Albert team! I'm terrible at managing finances and Albert feels like my personal pocket finance manager. Beautiful UI / super easy to use / very helpful insights.
Having switched back and forth from financial app to financial app over the years, I'm very excited to see if Albert is one I might finally stick with! On that note - please come to Android?
