Cool ghost, @howietl. Thanks!👻😎 ...I put the YouTube channel on Autoplay during my break and I'm looking forward to watching everything at some point. Your presentation to SXSW 2016 is quite easy to listen to. Do you speak at a lot of conferences?
@kristindrysdale Heh, thank you! To be honest, I don't do very many, and I find it too cringeworthy to watch myself afterwards : p. I'm glad you liked it!
I use this product every day. In particular, I've been using their API so that Airtable becomes a realtime database for some side-projects hosted on https://zeit.co/now. Highly recommended!
We are constantly searching for something to help us work with 1M+ row spreadsheets. We were hopefully last time we looked at Airtable, until we saw there is a 2MB limit on CSV uploads :( Has this been fixed?
@howietl Not entirely sure what that means, but these are spreadsheets that we have humans reading and editing. I will infer from your answer that you have no plans to increase that limit though. Thanks.
@ethosventures In the linked twitter thread, I note that we do plan on increasing the 2MB limit soon, but have no short-term plans to support million+ record bases.
@howietl Good to know. We are looking for an Excel alternative that enables online sharing and collaboration of large files. Definitely more human-scale than db alternative. Thanks for the info!
I have been looking for such a solution for more than a year. To be straight honest spreadsheets is something you can't avoid while doing business, but all the existing solutions are total crap that haven't really changed since 90s. Finally, somebody did this. Awesome product. Simply in love)
Well done Howie and the team! Airtable is my CRM and it suits me really well. It's also used for our home insurance inventory record as well as organising holidays :)
One feature request, ability to edit written updates in the sidebar history?
Hi ProductHunt! And thanks @joshwilliams for hunting us! After many months of hard work from our team, today we're announcing the public release of Airtable V2, which includes a new design, new ways to visualize your content (beyond the grid), and downloadable Mac, Windows, and Android apps.
Airtable is not just a spreadsheet replacement, nor just a user-friendly database. We think of it as a completely new medium for expressing and collaborating on structured information. Some examples of what I mean:
-How Zapier uses Airtable to automate customer feedback collection: https://airtable.news/closing-th...
-How the Jacksonville Jaguars uses Airtable to manage their marketing and analytics: https://airtable.news/the-team-b...
-How WeWork uses Airtable to build their community spaces: https://airtable.news/catalyzing...
Over 2 million bases have now been created by Airtable users, and your support has been crucial to our success from day one. We have an exciting roadmap of product improvements ahead, and we're excited to share the journey with you!
If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to post here or email me directly at howie@airtable.com. Thanks again!

I really like when a tool uses a familiar UX to boost productivity. The product looks awesome and being mobile friendly, having API and integrations makes it very complete. Great job!!
Huge fan of Airtable. If you do any work in spreadsheets today, worth trying out. Lots to choose from, but linked columns might be my favorite feature.
Just downloaded, and just wow, great product!
edit: I do hope you offer a fixed one off price for us users who would care to utilize it for less intensive purposes than the subrscribers
Just found out about this through a co-worker and it looks great @howietl. Has anyone find success using Airtable for their startup? What are some use cases that have worked for you?
I use @airtable to support our refugee supporting team to organize the helpers. We have now more easy organized all connections of refugees and German supporter.
Thanks for the free accounts making these possible!
I use Airtable every single day and love how they've paired simplicity with power. Kudos to @howietl and the team and congrats on the new launch!
Also, the new launch vid might just be a tie with the GrowthHackers Projects one!
This is pretty awesome. I spent 3 days building a better visualization for my Google Sheets using Awesome Table. I could have done something similar with Airtable in 30 minutes. Maybe Google is watching. Otherwise, they should.
I think you should consider templates to make it easier to lock down applications for novice users. The next steps should be to add a time dimension and a facility for workflow.
