Agora is an AI search engine for e-commerce products. We've indexed 30 million products sold on 100,000 stores and made them easy to search, purchase, and track. Think of a decentralized Amazon.
I'm excited to launch Agora 2.0, an AI search engine for e-commerce products! We've indexed 30 million products sold on 100,000 stores and made them easy to search, purchase, and track. Think of a decentralized Amazon.
Customers can check out on Agora with a universal cart. We don’t hold any inventory ourselves, route purchases to e-commerce stores using AI agents, and give customers an order tracking link that shows the shipping status of products from the different stores.
Make passive income: Introduced product collections that help our users earn commission.
Our progress:
30,000,000 products
100,000 stores
258,873 brands
6,158,870 product reviews
2,105,118 searches in 2024
My vision for Agora is to aggregate the world's e-commerce products into one place. I believe this will create market efficiencies for customers, developers, and merchants.
I'm thrilled to be back on PH and see how far we've come since our last launch.
The numbers speak for themselves - 30M products across 100K stores, with over 2M searches in 2024 alone.
What excites me most is our solution to a fragmented e-commerce experience. No more juggling multiple carts, shipping costs, or tracking numbers from different stores. Our universal cart and AI-powered routing have made shopping as seamless as it should be.
We significantly redesigned and improved Agora with 2.0. The sub-300ms search speed optimization has been a game-changer for conversion rates, and adding major retailers like Walmart and Target has significantly expanded our reach. Plus, our new product collections feature is already generating meaningful passive income for our users.
We're not just building another marketplace - we're creating the infrastructure for the future of decentralized commerce. Excited to hear what the PH community thinks!
@tsmith92 Thank you! It's definitely a complex challenge.
Here's how we do it:
When a customer is on the Agora cart, we dynamically detect the shipping rates provided by the store. We provide these delivery options and the associated prices for customers to choose.
When an order is placed on Agora, we use AI agents in the background to place the order with the store. Here's a demo. It fills out our email address and payment information, with the customer’s shipping information. All order tracking emails go to orders@searchagora.com. We then analyze these incoming emails to update the order status for the customer.
If anything goes wrong in the end-to-end process, we have a 24/7 support team available to help at support@searchagora.com.
The key for us is to build a magical Amazon-like experience for our customers. Would love any feedback you have!
This is sure an ambitious project. Just quickly tried it, here some thoughts:
The result doesn't seem to be very informative, e.g. I'm missing # of reviews (to be able to somewhat evaluate the reliability of the star rating), a short description, manufacturer, release date.
I seems it doesn't list different store one which one product is available. Does it make any effort to find the store with the best price?
This has been a process of trial and error: To find the minimum fields in search results to get a user to click through but also preserve search speed. We'll definitely consider adding the additional fields that you mentioned.
On the search results if you hover over an image, you can find other stores where similar products are sold. We'll work on making this more simple and straightforward. We do not clearly state which store has the best price for the same product.
Is that the future of shopping? Maybe need to add geolocation as a filter so I can select local brands or brands that will be shipped really soon- users wants stuff as soon as possible. And maybe a filter by delivery date based on location.
AWESOME! Good luck - if you need PM consulting or you are hiring ping me!
@lozzzko Thanks for this feedback! We are working on adding a geolocation filter to help customers shop local. We're also working on better communicating delivery options so our customers can make better purchasing decisions. I'll DM you once this goes live in the next few days.
Hi Team Agora. This is extremely ambitious and I love it. Best of luck with the launch. I tried out the personalised search and that looks pretty useful. Unfortunately, I think this is US only right now. So couldn't test the entire flow.
@nitesh_kumar76 Thanks for checking it out! Search is available in every country but delivery is only available in the US. We are planning to expand country-by-country in the coming months.
Let me know if you have any feedback on the search experience to help us make it better!
awesome product you have here ! quick question before i try it out , do you have an AI agent that can handle the conversation with the user , or do i just need to type the product i am looking for?
@saliou_kane Thank you! We don't have an AI agent for search.
We do, however, automatically detect the query's intent to improve the results. An 'objective query' displays a grid of relevant products within 200 milliseconds. A 'subjective query' runs an in-depth analysis to provide an exact product suggestion.
What a fantastic concept! I love the idea of a decentralized Amazon with a single cart transaction across thousands of stores. The AI search engine feature sounds incredibly powerful for finding exactly what you need. Great work!
We do not have a legal relationship with all 100k stores. We use AI crawlers to grab store, product, and stock data.
We crawl and index products 24/7 to keep them up to date on Agora. And then do creative things to ensure data accuracy. For example, when a user clicks on a product on Agora, we dynamically check the price and stock information to make sure it's still available for purchase.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Param, founder of Agora.
I'm excited to launch Agora 2.0, an AI search engine for e-commerce products! We've indexed 30 million products sold on 100,000 stores and made them easy to search, purchase, and track. Think of a decentralized Amazon.

What's new since our last launch:
New design: We redesigned Agora to focus on simplicity and conversion.
Faster search: We've been working on server and tooling optimization to return results in under 300 milliseconds.
More stores: We've added 91,900 more stores, including major retailers like Walmart, Target, and Macy's.
Easier purchasing: Ask product questions inline, analyze AI generated pros and cons, and see centralized reviews.
Transparent shipping rates: On checkout, we now show the shipping options that the store provides.
Make passive income: Introduced product collections that help our users earn commission.
Our progress:
30,000,000 products
100,000 stores
258,873 brands
6,158,870 product reviews
2,105,118 searches in 2024

Creating a universal cart boggles my mind, how do you handle all the individual nuances between stores/sending the correct address etc? Amazing work

@param_jaggi3 Fantastic work, this sounds so seamless. Well done to you and the team!
How are you planning to monetise? I'm assuming you lose a little % on transaction fees. What are the plans to make money moving forward?

@chape Thank you! Appreciate the kind words.
Hey great stuff, upvoted and replied your message in Linked in
Just wondering, How do you setup partnership with thousands of stores ( 100k ) at this stage, are you doing some sort of Legal and Compliance stuff ?
Are you like query the products everyday across million of product to track the prices and etc ? How to ensure everything is up to date ?
Agora
@archierex Thanks!
