π Maker's Note. Aera Vibe Isnβt Ready. Thatβs the Point
Hey Product Hunt!
I was supposed to launch Aera Vibe this week. It's an AI tool that analyzes your favorite interior shots β even directly from Pinterest β and builds your style DNA. Upload spaces you love β get a taste breakdown β match with homes, cities, even people.
Not just "modern". Something like:
72% of the style is Japanese, 18% is Brutalist, and 10% is Scandinavian.
The color scheme includes various shades of brown and gray.
The light is soft and comes from the side.
Geometry: flat planes, clean edges, and asymmetry.
This isn't a quiz about the atmosphere. It's the basis for a platform I'm creating called Aera.
π What has been done
You can log in to Pinterest and import your board using OAuth.
The full user interface is available in multiple languages, is responsive, and is accessible.
The Style DNA engine uses image-based aesthetic inference.
Taste clustering and perceptual matching with real homes.
It uses smart filtering, dynamic routing, and a session-based UX.
Users are attracted to the ads, which leads to real feedback.
I am responsible for the full design and architecture of Aera Vibe, Aera City and Aera Flow.
I've submitted the YC (models, metrics, and narrative).
β οΈ So What's the Delay?
The Pinterest integration works. The taste engine works. However, saving your style DNA is temporarily broken. You can explore. You can analyze it. The system needs your profile to match with homes, but that part is unstable right now. I'm fixing it. It's fast. Be careful.
𧩠What Is Aera?
Aera isn't just a product. It's a design-oriented operating layer. We're rethinking PropTech around perception β blending:
π§ Taste
π Environment.
π Culture
Focus on creating a user experience that focuses on trust for people who plan to stay in a place for a long time.
Right now, I'm building three main services:
Aera Vibe (beta) β analyze interior tastes + determine style DNA
Aera City (alpha) β Lists the best cities and districts based on how well they match up visually and with the senses.
Aera Flow (still being developed) is a tool that helps people move from one place to another. It helps people plan where they will live, what documents they will need, and how to adapt to a new place.
Vibe and City are already connected. Next, we'll focus on flow. I call it: Vibe City π
π©βπ» Who's Building This?
Aera is an independent project. It doesn't have any venture capital money (yet, haha).
We're:
A full-time front-end developer who knows React, Next.js really well.
A backend engineer who builds logic for Prisma and Postgres that can be scaled up or down.
A founder (me) and product architect designing flows and AI logic inspired by the brain.
A design and branding team is working nights to make every pixel perfect.
The teams that work on localization and communications are adjusting the voice for each market.
π So When?
In 2 weeks, Aera Vibe will relaunch with full stability, new integrations, and the design-first experience we originally envisioned. If you're curious about design-first discovery, it's already usable. It's just fragile. I'm fixing it. It will be fast.
Please share your thoughts.
Stay tuned. Thanks for reading. Love to everyone building things that feel personal.
