Hey Product Hunters! 👋 I’m Doug, CEO and cofounder at Adzuna, and I’m excited to share ApplyIQ with you - our take on the next generation of AI-enabled job search.
Job search is painful, we know that - for jobseekers - and for employers. Many employers are flooded with sometimes irrelevant applications, and that’s why it’s so common for jobseekers to be ghosted.
We built ApplyIQ to flip that script. Upload your resume, tell it what you want (role, location and salary) and it hunts down suitable jobs and only applies when there’s a great match. This helps you and the employer too.
Adzuna released an early alpha version of ApplyIQ in December 2024, inviting over 6,000 jobseekers to test it. The response? 73% of early adopters rated ApplyIQ as user-friendly, and nearly 40% secured at least one interview since signing up!

Love the “no spam” angle—quality beats quantity every time. Curious though, how’s ApplyIQ handling nuanced job fit beyond keywords? Things like company culture or soft skill alignment can make or break the match.

Great question, and as you may well know it's really astonishing the quality of textual comprehension that the latest generation of LLMs delivers (and - no surprise - that's what we're using here).
The short answer to your question is that we are currently doing this (eg company culture match and soft skill alignment) to an extent, but of course the modelling can only go as far as the data allows.
Within job ads and descriptions there is a surprising amount of insight. There is normally a section about the company, the way the job ad is worded has some clues, and for many companies the LLM will have some contextual knowledge about the company already.
It's a little trickier on the candidate side although their career history in their CV/resume will give quite a few clues.
I think a future enhancement for ApplyIQ could potentially be some questions for the jobseeker around the company size and culture that they are seeking.
In my over 20 years (wow) in this industry I have experienced very few products that have the capacity to truly change-the-game as much as ApplyIQ. Utilizing the best that AI can offer with the care and understanding in helping real humans and hiring managers achieve results with minimal stress. This WILL result in more qualified applicants and candidates who ARE NOTIFIED of each job the system applies (REMOVING ANY MYSTERY about the process). Candidates and jobs that have a HIGH-MATCHING SCORE will ensure quality applications! Incredibly proud to part of a company that has the resources, vision, and guts to change the paradigm on job searching!
