I stopped reading the preview and bought this after seeing the "Arbitrary Constraints" section. Constraints are incredibly valuable in any creative effort and I've used them effectively in my own writing, development, UI/UX, tinkering with music, etc. The Internet age has proliferated this belief that an infinite number of choices and possibilities is a good thing. The problem is that an infinite number of choices can be paralyzing and causes a paradox of choice (where regardless of what you choose, there will always be doubt that you made the right choice and that one of the other 9,999 choices would have suited you better). This is especially true for creators (like most of us here on PH) when it's important to create/ship/iterate quickly.
Anyway, I'm hoping there are more good insights like this that I can pull from.

@jongold Some of the time management tips are spot on too...
"Schedule tasks as if they were appointments with yourself.
Try using a calendar to restrict specific types of work to specific times. For example:
Sound design: 7-8pm
Form/song structure: 8-9pm
Mixing: 9-10pm"
