3D scanning of human bodies has enabled new kinds of products. The uses so far have been limited to 3D printing of figurines and some fitness tracking applications. With the autorigger, you can animate the body and make it usable in video games (play yourself in a video game), V/R (use yourself in VR chat), A/R, social media or for new applications such as virtual try-on (i.e. what do I look like wearing a particular set of clothes?).
