In all seriousness though, SixBySix had a massive impact for us. Before we had ideas and never launched (despite working on them), now we know we can go from idea to MVP in a month and go from there.
@levelsio once said this, which sums it up nicely:
"Just building stuff and finishing it gets you ahead of 99% of the people out there."

@fredrivett Oh wow, didn't know about your project. That's awesome and I agree, it's amazing what you can get done in just one month when you put your mind to it. There is definitely a bit of inspiration from @levelio 12 Startups in 12 months project, which birthed NomadList I believe.
@scrivs For sure Paul. When we started work on SixBySix we weren't actually aware of @levelsio or the others doing similar, but I've seen a fair few others doing similar now and it makes a lot of sense. It looks like you're taking it up a notch with your offering which is cool, all the best with it!
Aaaand he's at it again. Paul Scrivens from the 40 Day Startup is challenging both himself and you to take an idea and take it all the way to launch ... 6 times. He's going to painstakingly show you the guts of his workflow and keep you engaged throughout. Scrivs is also very generously going to give access to all the source code he'll create over the 6 month project, providing you scaffolds and templates you can use for 6 different types of web apps. Oh, and he wants the projects to be capable of generating revenue from Day 1.
One of the biggest helps for this type of project is the community that you get to be a part of. He's got a great group going on a Slack channel that is ready to provide feedback and checkins. I've found it helpful on the 40 Day Startup project.

@alirtariq Thanks for the hunt, Ali! What can I say? I really want to help people out by showing them you can start to get stuff done and that idea out of your head. I also get tired of seeing people worried about their idea being stolen so I'm giving away the source code for each of these startups.
One of the amazing things about the community has been how surrounding yourself with others that have the same goals actually pushes you to complete your own. Maybe it's the competitor inside of me, but I never wanted to be the one person not launching something.
It's definitely going to be a challenge, but something I look forward to tackling.
