da Vinci Mini — 3D printer for under $300

It looks like a great printer, but from what I can see on the website, it uses the same filament with the junior version. You need to buy XYZ filament because it has a special chip inside the spool. This filament is far more expensive than regular filament. It's basically DRM for 3D printing.
