A canvas in Art & Time. ⏰ Visit & see 1 image per sec for each sec of the day. Repeats every day. 🔁 Forever. Tell a joke, promote a webcomic or grow business in this fun, creative format. There are 86,400 seconds in a day. Which are yours? ✌️
Hello again, PH!
24HourHomepage is now FREE for you to publish to.
It works just like before: choose any available second of the day (00:00:00-23:59:59) and promote something. It will stay on the site and you'll get backlinks until someone overwrites it.
If you want it there permanently, support the project by buying a token!
As a launch special, I'll be tweeting some free tokens throughout the day. First come first served.
Enjoy the day! ✌️
Congrats on the launch Justin!
What an awesome project! how did you come up with the token system?
what were some things you learned from the pervious version?
@huashu Thanks Hua!
This whole version was enabled by having cheap bandwidth (thank you @cloudflare). Once I knew it wouldn't result in a net loss, I started dreaming about ways to version it. With some constraints:
- It had to stick to the original concept
- Original customers purchases and publications had to be honored
- Hateful or abusive content had to be flagged before upload
Free publishing and tokens "just made sense" in that regard. Google vision helps with the image moderation too.
Specific learnings:
1. Repeat yourself
2. Redesigns can be worth it IF new tech unlocks
3. Reddit is the best (but hard to please)
1. Repeat yourself
One of the main motivators of the project was to get me comfortable with an uncomfortable skill (sales and marketing). The Internet is SATURATED with content. If people haven't seen it, haven't heard it, then it's new to them (shout out to Russ https://www.tiktok.com/@russ/vid...)
2. Redesigns can be worth it IF new tech unlocks
I designed V1 to be so simple I wouldn't be tempted to continuously add little features here and there. That was great so I could focus on marketing but when Cloudflare's R2 became public, I had to seriously reconsider a redesign. Getting new visitors to publish in under 7s is a HUGE win and only enabled if I allow free content. Shoutout to @cloudflare
3. Reddit is the best (but hard to please)
I posted on r/InternetIsBeautiful two years ago and got the post taken down pretty quickly for it being "only about advertising". Once free publishing was allowed, the same subreddit loved the project. Small changes can please a hard-to-please crowd
Thanks again for your support, Hua!

Glad to read what you've learned Justin! I think the token system is a really neat idea.
Also, happy to hear the project is getting love on Reddit :D I'm excited to watch it grow!
@mho22 thanks for saying so!

@yupyup, way to go! It must have taken a lot of work and commitment to launch this 24 hour canvas to promote anything. Bravo! Now can't wait to see it in action!
That sounds fun. How’re you going to tackle the engagement rate? Like what do you think make people go there check the pictures everyday?
Curious to see where it goes. The token system sounds interesting too!
