🚨Meta Says No to EU’s AI Code — Innovation or Instigation?
... most ambitious AI regulations we've seen globally. It s not legally binding (yet), but signing could give companies a head start on compliance and reduce legal friction down the road. Meta's stance? They say the EU is " overreaching " and creating legal uncertainty that could choke innovation. Their Global Affairs Chief, Joel Kaplan , didn t hold back: " Europe is heading down the wrong path on AI. " On the flip side, not engaging with the EU s efforts could mean ... ... just in the EU, but globally. Would love to hear your take. Is Meta making the right call or missing the bigger picture? #AI #ProductDevelopment #EUAIAct #Meta #Startups #TechPolicy #ArtificialIntelligence #Innovation #Regulation Comment from Shadman Nazim(@shadmannazim): Interesting stance

Best practices I'm seeing for early product-market validation at MIT
... best source for intimately getting to know your customers. They help you see how potential users think, act, and work. This is where you find the raw insights that no search data can give you. Take the stance of trying to learn as much as possible without having an opinion already. You ll benefit from being open-minded because this can help uncover flawed assumptions you may have held. In the past, many successful companies would spend months in this ...

Why are there so many AI frameworks?
... ? We re still early. Because everyone wants a piece of the pie. Look how many MCP related products exist already: https://www.producthunt.com/sear... No one trusts the abstractions they didn t write themselves. Every framework is a political stance, a philosophy on how to do the "NEW THING" right: Where does context ends and reasoning begins? How much to expose vs

Should Intellectual property be abolished? (Jack Dorsey's, Musk's and others' point of view)
... then let s agree that these AI companies should also give up the profit they make from the code they ve created and through which they sell creative work. (I believe they would have strong objections to such a stance of shared collective ownership and would start defending their own interests.) Maybe it is time to stop asking whether copyright will survive in the AI era, and start asking: How to set it up in a way that protects those ...

I decide what's featured on the leaderboard - AMA w/ Gabe from Product Hunt
... seen Product is waitlisted People schedule a draft.... (we have a draft function!) Maker's profile is their product/business and not an actual user account Tagline does not describe the product ie. "Best way to earn users" vs "Capture user data with a single button in your iOS app" Too much marketing jargon, not enough product description / story NO PRODUCT SHOTS/VIDEOS -> just marketing fluff images Only one image that is a low quality screenshot Using a paid service ... ... they get what you're launching? If you can quickly Google a solution that similar to what you're launching then really make sure your launch stands out. Focus on highlighting what's special about your product vs

Claude 3.5 vs. Claude 3.7: Fresh Test
... actually performed better in one key area. While 3.7 is more advanced in many ways, I've found it to be too docile - it rarely pushes back on questionable requests. Claude 3.5, on the other hand, would often suggest alternative (and frankly better) approaches when my initial idea wasn't optimal. This constructive resistance from 3.5 led to better outcomes in my development process. I value an AI assistant that acts as a thoughtful collaborator rather than just following instructions ... ... Comment from Victoria Wu(@victoria_wu): @timoteolapa  Yeah. It's super cool! Comment from Victoria Wu(@victoria_wu): @andres_vlaeminck  It s interesting to hear that you found the 3.5 version to be more proactive in offering alternative

Can makers personally reach out to their product subscribers before launch?
... communicate with them directly? - If this is even allowed within ProductHunt's guidelines? Would love to hear from experienced makers who've successfully managed their pre-launch subscriber relationships or from anyone who knows ProductHunt's stance on this. Thanks in advance for your insights! Comment from Gaurav Singhal(@krazygaurav93): @aishwarya_singhal Maybe not my best idea but convenient to have this. :) Comment from Den Taylor(@den_taylor): exploring other creative fields, like watching films or visiting art galleries, often ...

... operations, taxes, emergency etc.): Remaining balance ($20k - $3500 = $16,500) We use about $10000 for salaries in our other businesses and the rest $6500 approx is for Living/operations/tax etc. Additional Finances: - Frontend Designer: $500/month - AWS Sagemaker: Very pricey; exploring alternatives.
