GPT-5: Not the AGI Messiah, but still pretty impressive
... Describe your dream web app in plain English layout, colors, features, and within seconds you get a live Canvas prototype: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, hosting , and an interactive front-and back-end demo. What once required copy-pasting snippets and manual setup now springs from a single prompt, letting anyone prototype full-stack web apps in minutes. This is getting the bulk of attention online , with vibe-coders spinning up apps like it's child's play. I even ... ... like button. Benchmarks, benchmarks, benchmarks Benchmarks should always be taken with a grain of salt . They are effectively a snapshot of a models capabilities under near perfect conditions. ... Product Hunt! I m excited to share PeekNote a tiny, always-on-top note app for macOS designed for developers, creators, and anyone who works with text or code snippets. Like many of you, I often found myself juggling code, docs, ideas, and random text across too many apps and tabs. I wanted a small tool that could stay visible, organize quick notes, and help me copy/paste things without disrupting my flow. So I built PeekNote a distraction-free, focused ... ... utility that stays right where you need it. What PeekNote does: Always on top your notes are always visible Multiple tabs organize text snippets

AMA w/ James & Tim (founders of posthog)
... there a specific moment where you thought "oh shit...we have product-market fit"? Comment from James Hawkins(@james_hawkins3): @will_daubney  trust is a really big deal. with what we do especially because there are gazilions of competitors and we get lots of data sent to us. we thought about it and concluded that transparency was the way to do this and the impression your website creates matters a lot here - if the website is good enough, people ... ... make you look like you've existed for ~3 days. something less polished but more you is more authentic and trustworthy. we also found that by targeting a specific user group - product engineers - and not product managers like our competitors

What's in your dock?
... discover some new products I hadn't seen before. I'm also just a big fan of desktop apps over web apps. I find it a lot easier to stay focused when I'm flipping between apps vs flipping between tabs. These are the apps in my dock: @Google Chrome - Pretty basic. I've really been considering switching over to @Horse though. @Slack - The de facto option. @Superhuman - Maybe the fastest I've become a fan of a product ... ... Comment from Chris Messina(@chrismessina): This is fun but would be much better if it were visual! (i.e. @Dockhunt ) Still, in my dock: @Fantastical @Things @Spotify @Arc @Craft.do @1Password @Superhuman Messages @Slack @Signal 2.0 @Warp @Cursor @Windsurf @Zed @VS

For context, we're basically positioning ourselves similarly to Teal (which had a few really solid launches here on PH a few years back) & a few odther established competitors. We're differentiating on 1) Price (we're 20%-33% the cost), 2) more robust insights & suggestions on job fit, 3) A more authentic, less "linkedin-y" brand. What is missing in the educational UI/UX market? 🤔
... confident here. I know that I can write good articles, use SEO, and all that. The question is: what for? Would an interactive custom-written platform that has all possible topics related to design (and even code snippets) be a good thing? People previously advised me to start small, and I did, and I got some results (revenue), but these are general books and there are a lot of other equivalents. Do you have any ideas in mind that might ...
