From Aerospace Engineer to Full-Stack AI App in 1.5 Months - My Vibe Coding Journey
... stack web app. The problem: I had zero web dev knowledge but a burning idea that kept staring at me from my idea list. The reality check: Building a modern web app means React, TypeScript, databases, authentication, APIs, payment processing, deployment pipelines... I didn't know 99% of these words! The experiment: Started with a popular vibe-coding platform. Built a landing page - it worked! But when I tried building the actual app, I hit walls constantly. Complex bugs, insufficient ... ... insights, running out of credits without real progress. The breakthrough: Ditched the fancy Vibe-Coding platform, went first to Claude + VS

Introducing Lingo.dev Compiler: localize React apps without rewriting your components' code
... rewriting your entire codebase - extracting strings to JSON files, wrapping components in `<Translation />` tags, maintaining separate dictionaries. So, we asked ourselves: "What if that actually wasn't necessary?" AST So, we came up with this idea to processes React app's Abstract Syntax Tree and perform localization at build time. But here's the tricky part: we had to solve how to deterministically group elements that should be translated together. For example, this entire block gets processed

RAG Frustration: Is Vector Search Giving Your LLM Junk Context?
... finds the relevant info, what format would be most useful for you to feed the LLM? Would you prefer the entire relevant document(s) ? Just the specific, most relevant paragraphs or chunks ? Or ideally, would you want something more processed, maybe closer to a direct answer to the query based on your data? What level of granularity and processing

Master AI Automation
... exactly why we created this course. We ve designed it to be hands-on, teaching real-world AI automation using no-code and low-code tools like N8N, CrewAI, and VectorShift so you can build smart workflows, optimize business processes, and save hours of manual effort. We ve worked with companies and professionals integrating AI into their workflows, and one thing is clear: AI is no longer optional. Whether you're automating customer interactions, marketing, or data processing

Best Payroll / PEO / EOR / HRIS for Distributed Teams?
... know in this thread!) EOR coverage - If you need EOR services, make sure they cover at a minimum the countries you already have employees in or want to employ in. Not all EORs are equal. Compare platform fees, payroll processing times, etc. Strong US benefits - Everyone knows the US healthcare system is terrible and I want my employees healthcare taken care of when they and their families need it - no bare minimum plans for us! I also look to make ... ... looking up historical data of my former employees on spreadsheets. With Charthop, you NEVER lose any of that data, no matter what payroll, PEO, EOR provider you use (+ as a plug, their offering has grown significantly,, including compensation reviews process

Do you think AIs can be conscious?
... Yesterday, Microsoft's Majorana 1 was launched here , a prototype of a quantum processor powered by topological qubits, a breakthrough that may enable quantum computers capable of solving real-world problems that are intractable with classical computers. As @chrismessina and @terrence_kelleman mentioned, some scientists believe that quantum effects give rise to consciousness, including the mathematician, physicist and philosopher Roger Penrose (Nobel prize 2020). However, most scientists seem to believe that quantum effects are not relevant to information processing

Is AI making us stupid?
... think I'm learning something, but I don't know if I'm really learning anything when AI does everything for me. It's like a modern calculator that gives you the result without you understanding the processes and structures behind the calculations. Is AI making us stupid? How do you approach using AI so that you still can learn and "use" your brain more actively? IMO this will be a huge thing for the next generations and kids because ... ... will be (mildly speaking) unwise not to use this technology. Me personally, I see it as an assistant that can help me work smarter, not harder. I use it for tons of things but mostly for making some processes

What are some of the best 4U server models for high-performance computing?
... everyone! I m looking for recommendations on the best 4U server models for high-performance computing. Specifically, I'm interested in 4u server that can handle demanding tasks like AI/ML, data processing, and large-scale simulations. If you've worked with 4U servers in HPC environments, I d love to hear your thoughts on the following: 1. Which 4U server models have the best performance for handling heavy workloads? o I m particularly looking for servers with powerful processors

1 step backwards, 2 steps forward. The perfect summary of my previous 2 weeks.
... video or a post ready for my 8th week, and I have a perfectly good reason for it. 2 weeks ago I started working on some improvements for Sentrya. - Updated the UI and UX - Improve the processing speed - Added the option to delete your account - Allow users to update their whitelist filters Until Wednesday, everything was going according to plan. That s when I thought it would be a good idea to free up some space on my laptop ... ... better than nothing. So I went back to work. I had a lot of updates to add, so it took me until Monday to get everything back up to speed. And last week, I managed to: 1. Improve the processing

What is the difference between artificial intelligence and neural networks?
... making decisions. Neural networks, on the other hand, are a specific type of machine learning algorithm that is based on the idea of artificial neurons. These algorithms consist of a large number of interconnected nodes, or artificial neurons, that process and transmit information. Neural networks can be trained to recognize patterns in data and make predictions, and they are particularly well-suited to tasks such as image recognition, natural language processing
