@zhao_naomi I use muse headset which assists in calming me down with guided meditation sessions accompanied by serene sounds of nature (such as waves, underwater sounds or waterfalls) or when in hurry, I use some guided meditation sessions that I have saved from youtube
first moments set the day's tone.
i begin with stillness, a quiet ritual.
sipping tea, feeling its warmth.
reflecting on the day's intention.
glancing over tasks, aligning priorities.
embracing gratitude for the work ahead.
then diving in, with purpose.
it's about anchoring oneself before the storm of tasks.
Planning and dividing the time
Morning priority tasks which will have a huge impact
Afternoon - low-priority tasks
evening - some research and unproductive tasks
Checking emails and messages... then I have a morning meeting with my team. I am most productive in the mornings and later at night. Afternoons are usually a struggle to keep focused.
@danchadney Same here, I can't concentrate in the afternoon, especially after 4 pm. π So, I always delay some work to do at night after going home. I knew it's a bad habit, but I just can't help doing it.
Read news. I don't know why. But I power up my PC, Open browser, and Read 5-10 news articles before i start the work. It's a habit that I don't regretπ.
@arun_prakash12 Of course, keeping ourselves updated with the latest news is always a good habit. It helps us stay informed and aware of what's happening around us. Keep it up!
Grab my phone which is a bad habit IMO that I am working to get rid of. It feels good not having a phone in your hand for the first 15-30min in the morning.
At the office the first thing I do is say hi to everyone on my team and small talk, at home the first thing I do is check my schedule for the day and write out my to-do list
@james_sukosd That was really nice! I strongly believe that engaging in small talk with teams before starting work can significantly boost team morale.
I always plan out my week in advance, and each morning I review my 'todo' list to make sure the priorities are still correct. That's after my morning ciggie though!!!
@zhao_naomi We have a huge office with good acoustics. In the morning, before my colleagues start calling, I turn it into a jazz club (vocal or just instrumental jazz).
And in the evenings, depending on my mood, I turn on classic old-school rock or chillout, lofi.
@serhii_uspenskyi Me too. However, I often find myself distracted by notification emails from subscribed newsletters, which wastes a significant amount of time every morning. I am currently try to adjust my daily routine to increase productivity.
