    What is the best platform to create a community forum in 2022?

    I have a free developer security tool called CodeSec, that launched back in June 2022. We have seen rapid growth over the last few months, and think it is time create a community to further engage with our users. My question is, what kind of community forum is best for developers? Slack? Discord? or would creating a custom community forum be the best alternative.

    discord. 1 year later and now 20,000 users. depends who your audience is too though

    Discord and Slack are both good. Discord is famous among the 20s, geeks, Web 3.0, startups, tech-oriented, and freelancers. Discord has a slight learning curve since it is built for the gaming community. Slack is famous among marketing, management, company professionals, 40s, 50s I guess. It s easy and clean UX. Audience who does not like complex UI prefer Slack
