1. Build a support group in advance! Contact those you think would support you and let them know in advance - share the launch link so they can get Notified! https://www.producthunt.com/prod...
2. Look for Product Hunt communities in your region or founders communities and let them know about your launch too!
3. Build an excel list with all supporters/communities/companies to message on the day of the launch.
Here are my 2 cents:
1) Start building an audience WAY before your launch
2) Make sure your product is optimized and has testimonials/social proof before you launch
I haven’t launched yet, but I believe that conducting a comprehensive check of the product’s landing page and launching page is one of the most important things.
This is a great thread, thanks for starting it. I'm not a product hunt expert, but I asked people to roast my product page, and that's been helpful so far.
@dan_gower Just a question, when you said you ask people to roast your product page, do you mean people from Product Hunt or people outside this community? And if it is from Product Hunt, how do you actually do it? Thaaanks!
No matter what happens, don't lose your focus. You may not receive the feedback and response you were expecting, that doesn't mean anything. Keep grinding.
1. Don't get bogged down by perfectionism, release when it's time to release, but give plenty of time for warm-up
2. Keep in close contact with closed beta users and build groups
3. Don't forget to combine with long-term infrastructure, such as SEO
4. Use the knowledge and skills behind the product or service to serve more people, rather than just marketing
Build a community of supporters—keep them engaged and excited about your product. Stay consistent and active in your communication. Launching shouldn’t be the only goal!
I’m also working on connecting with more people, and seeing new product launches is always a fresh experience that provides great insights.
