I'm the Product Hunt CEO - tell me your tagline and I'll fix it for you :)

I’m the @Product Hunt CEO, I’ve launched 7 times on PH, and helped countless friends prep their launches. The most common mistake I see is a confusing tagline. Launching on Product Hunt soon? Tell me your tagline and I’ll fix it for you :)

Launching soon!
The fewer words, the harder the craft, right? :) We're launching soon and where thinking of using the tagline: "The world's first customer relationship agent" Short description: "Drive your client relations and sales pipeline forward, with the world’s first Customer Relationship Agent. Andsend identifies your opportunities and drafts compelling messages for email and LinkedIn, so you can easily nurture your conversations and close deals. Just review and send. No effort, full control." Would love your input here, @rajiv_ayyangar!
Rajiv Ayyangar
@per_clingweld I'm never a fan of "world's first" - it distracts from the core concept. Customer relationship agent sound similar to AI SDRs (e.g. Artisan, 11x). Some ideas: "Replace your CRM with an outreach agent" "AI sales agent that " Or more specifically: "Outreach agent that identifies opportunities and reaches out authentically" (needs to be shortened). Overall my read on this space is: It's a problem, people want tools to help, but right now most of them aren't good / effective. How do you stand out? What's unique about your approach that will make this actually effective.

@per_clingweld cool that you are launching soon! so are we - will keep a lookout 👀

Hi Rajiv, I'm so glad to meet you. We are preparing to launch a Canva alternative built entirely with PowerPoint, a tool used by over half a billion people. Unknown to many, PowerPoint has this ability and we just unveiled it with our platform hosting over 250K mouse-made and curated templates. Our tagline is "Design and Publish Anything" We then go on to say "Easily Create a Wide Array of Hi-Res Visual Content for Free Using Just One Tool - Microsoft PowerPoint.
Rajiv Ayyangar
@obie_akpachiogu1 I'm really confused as to what problem you're solving here. Powerpoint is already very expressive, visually. What can you do with your tool that you can't do with powerpoint? E.g. is it "create high-res images from powerpoint?" - as far as I know, you can already do that.
obie akpachiogu
@rajiv_ayyangar So sorry Rajiv. I should have been more detailed. We use PowerPoint to create editable templates for everything from logos to social media content of all types including videos. Most people associate PowerPoint with just presentations and we are changing that. Let's just say it's Canva but built entirely on PowerPoint. See www.contentbazr.com. I'm sorry I should have been more detailed. And I must say thanks for your kind response.

@obie_akpachiogu1 Hi Obie. Here are my thoughts: - Your tagline "Design and publish anything" doesn't really speak of anything remarkably related to your product. The same thing can be said about many other products out there. What's that one thing that makes yours stand out? I think the Canva meets PowerPoint is a good stand out feature. - The second one is a quite long and could be simpler and easier to digest. Here's a simpler version: Create Thousands of Hi-Res Designs for Free with One Tool.

@nuellaugochi Thank you. Will review.

Tysm Rajiv! "Collaborative AI teammate that understands your codebase and can be queried via an API or Slack."
Rajiv Ayyangar
@arlanrakh “ai code agent that understands your codebase” is the holy grail. How specifically did you achieve that understanding? Emphasize that unique approach.
Arlan Rakhmetzhanov
@rajiv_ayyangar we use advanced semantic file search and precise file reference across messy and complex codebases to help developers find and fix code faster

June - customer success analytics

thoughts? :)

Uri Bram

@enzo_avigo just clicked through and the "...for each of your customers" element seems super cool, I wonder if you could get that into the tagline?

"Individualized customer success analytics" or something -- I feel like the tricky bit is making clear that it's individualized dashboards per-customer, not just customizable in generalizable

Rajiv Ayyangar

@enzo_avigo hard to beat "Product analytics designed to help you retain more customers." - it's really clear and focused!

Maybe you could try punching it up a bit. What's your secret sauce to unlock retention?

Rajiv Ayyangar

@enzo_avigo @uri_bram1 Oh I like Uri's idea. Maybe... "Customer success analytics tailored to each customer"?

Hi! Great to meet you. We're preparing to launch Arkain in March. Arkain is a Cloud-based, AI-powered IDE that makes development effortless and accessible to everyone. This is our tagline : "Everything you need for development, even AI, all in Arkain!" feel free to fix it.
Rajiv Ayyangar
@kay_arkain cloud-based IDE....how is this different from @Replit? Also, right now I don't believe many developers are using cloud-based IDEs for professional work. I think you need to be more specific than targeting all developers. Who is this built for? What's the core problem you're responding to in building this?
Jemmy

our previous tagline is 'Tempo-Puls:AI-driven Haptic experience of music'.

and we wanna tro change it into ' Tempo-Puls: Let the hearing impaired touch charmming music'.

Acctually, Tempo-Pulse is an AI-driven haptic music player. Simply search for or upload any music you love, Tempo-Pulse will deliver a unique haptic experience in real time. It's designed to make everyone feel the charm of music, including people who are hard of hearing.

And here is our page: https://www.producthunt.com/products/tempo-pulse#tempo-pulse

I'm launching River on PH in a couple of weeks so this is perfect

Tagline 1: The in-person event platform that let’s the community host.
Tagline 2: The community event platform — where online groups become in-person meetups.

What we do: We orchestrate meetups at massive scale for brands like Tim Ferriss by creating save-the-date events around the world and letting the community members do the work of hosting. Powered 154 simultaneous meetups around the world to help Tim celebrate the 10th anniversary of his pod.

Rajiv Ayyangar

@raechellambert River is really cool! Both of these feel strong. I think what stands out to me about River is the scale - e.g. hosting 154 simultaneous meetups. Is there a way to lean into that?

@cloudkoonly Hi Young, I loveeee the idea behind Cloudkoonly. Your tagline is nice but i think it sounds generic. What do you think of this: Everything you need to launch your SaaS faster and smarter. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

@rajiv_ayyangar What do you have to say about this?

Tagline: Get Fresh and Trending Content Ideas in seconds, that your audience will actually engage with. Powered by smart content curation, not just generic AI suggestions.

We're building a tool for SMMs to find fresh, trending content ideas via smart curation- not just generic Al suggestions

Rajiv Ayyangar

@imtiyazmohammed This is a well-worn category, and this tagline isn't answering the "yeah, but is it good?" question for me. I'm not sure what "smart content curation" means.

I'd really double down on something that people actually find compelling. Questions that might illuminate that: Why did you build it? What did you see was missing from the world that caused you to build it? What have you found that other builders of content generators haven't? How is this better than generic ChatGPT?

For example: "write, post, and measure social content that's indistinguishable from your voice" could be compelling - worth testing.

Imtiyaz

@rajiv_ayyangar Appreciate the thoughtful feedback! You’re right—this is a well-worn category, and we need to make it clearer why our approach is different. We’re doubling down on how we curate ideas from real conversations rather than just spinning AI-generated suggestions. Your questions are super helpful in refining our messaging!

Name - HomeTab Tagline - "A new home for your browser" Description - A browser extension that turns your new tab page into a beautiful dashboard. You can place all sorts of widgets(like calendar, weather, stock ticker and more) to keep an eye on relevant things. The best part - you can fully customize the dashboard as per your taste - from placement & size of widgets to colors and theme. Any advice? @rajiv_ayyangar The extension has been built and I am putting together a landing page. Will be launching this Thursday.

Hey @rajiv_ayyangar ! This is an awesome initiative, truly. So, we are launching NoForm.ai - AI chatbot platform next month and I'd be really thrilled to learn what you think on our tagline: "AI-powered chatbot platform for lead generation and sales" OR "AI sales assistant for your business". Thanks in advance!

Rajiv Ayyangar

@oksana_ch from your website it seems like you're building AI-powered Intercom that doesn't have a human backend. Maybe:

"Set up AI intercom on your website in 3 minutes"

Or "Automated sales chatbot for your website"

The real questions is how does this stand out vs other chatbots (e.g. Intercom).

Elly
  • Tagline: Create websites in seconds to build your first 1K community

  • Short Description: Create a website in seconds, complete with a feedback community, a product story blog, and more. Analyze the activities of visitors who have been notified via email, directly on your content. It's free if public!

Looks like you’re getting flooded with comments—I hope you’re holding up! But I’d love to get your help, so I had to drop one too. 😅

Rajiv Ayyangar

@elly_sp SlashPage looks really cool! Is it built around community-driven saas products?

Maybe:
- All-in-one product website builder (though this is kinda vague)
- Website, Blog, Feedback community, Analytics - all built in seconds

Elly

@rajiv_ayyangar Thank you so, so, so much for your answer, it cleared up a lot of confusing thoughts and desires!

@rajiv_ayyangar @taniabell I'm not Rajiv but I'm curious what the product is! It's definitely an appealing prospect, but I'm not sure I'd click without a little more sense what's on offer.

@rajiv_ayyangar This is exactly what we need help with! We've tried two approaches:

  1. Create stunning product videos and explainers with minimal effort

  2. AI product video studio for busy marketers

We're building BrewVideo - an AI video tool specifically designed to turn product pages into videos within minutes, just by using a URL.

The challenge we're facing with the tagline is the varied terminology in this space - "explainer" and "product video" mean different things to different people. Some think of animated videos, others think of software demos. We want our tagline to be clear and explicit about what we offer...

Also we wondered if URL to video would be a good thing to include in the tagline. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Hi Rajiv!! This is awesome, also perfect timing!

We are launching @Pieces for Developers "Long-Term Memory" soon and this is our usual tagline "Long-term memory for your whole developer workstream"

But we are also considering "Your favorite AI copilot + 6 months of contextual memory"

Quick background: With Pieces Long-Term Memory, you can capture context at the OS level across all the websites and apps you use. Get answers to questions like, “What was I doing before this meeting?” or “What was the conclusion of the PR I read last week?”

Would appreciate any feedback! Thank you! 🙏
