One thing I’ve always found interesting—especially with successful launches that make it to the top of the day or top3 of the day—is how founders manage to keep the users they acquire after launching on Product Hunt.
Even beyond those top launches, anyone who gains users from a launch faces the challenge of retention. Many users won’t like the platform, some will decide they don’t want to pay the price, and others will find a better competitor.
I’m really curious about the strategies you use post-launch to keep users engaged and prevent churn.
From what I’ve observed, there are usually two common approaches:
1. Do nothing and hope that paying users don’t notice or care enough to cancel, so they keep subscribing.
2. Actively engage users by asking what they like or dislike, offering discounts, or providing extra perks to encourage them.
What's your approach?
