Well, speaking not as a designer but as a user who almost always has dark mode on, it really bothers me when I come across a website that doesn’t match the theme. I’m just being neat-peaky is all. Popular platforms like LinkedIn did not have dark mode for many days, and even when they launched one, the colour combination was poorly executed.
