Well, I recorded my first note. In English. And it produced the note in Portuguese, which I can kinda sorta read, but obviously that's not the language I recorded in.

BlueSky deletes posts that do not conform to a narrow, sectarian-leftist conception of politics and ideology, indulging safetyism, gender self-ID, and affirmation, ideas which not all trans people share. None of my adult trans friends do, for instance. I shared an article about sexual dimorphism in humans written by an evolutionary biologist, with no mention of trans people at all, and it was...

Great idea and it's wicked fast, even on my middlin' machine. But the default keyboard shortcut is Alt+F, which is already mapped to Chrome's menu.

Anyone who has struggled with daily journaling as I have should try this app out immediately. I haven't had a perfect streak since I started using it, but it's a lot better than before. One could literally write all day back and forth with Rosebud. Not quite life-changing, but certainly habit-changing.

Bento is a far superior link-in-bio. I mean, really, all those others look exactly the same. Pleasant visual feedback, too.

I just came back from a compulsory sojourn in the wilderness with the oddly and oh-so-corporately deigned Zoom. Such a relief to get back to the smoothness and natural fun of Butter. My students prefer it too.

On one hand, I can count the apps I'm grateful for and feel empowered by. Readwise has been on that list for years, and now Reader joins its sibling.
