Hey there! Totally feel your pain on the video editing grind. Have you checked out tools like Descript or Runway that use AI to automate a lot of the tedious editing work? They can do things like remove filler words, fix audio issues, and even generate simple animations to spice up your videos. The AI isn't perfect but it can be a huge time saver, especially for roughing out a first cut. For...

I squeeze in about 1 hour before work and 2-3 hours after work on weekdays. Weekends I try to dedicate larger chunks of time, like 4-5 hours per day. Definitely a challenge to balance with a full-time job! I find it helps to block specific time slots on my calendar for the side project. That way I'm less likely to skip it or let other things encroach. Taking breaks to go for a quick walk or...

Completely agree, the lack of transparency around which projects get listed is a huge problem. It's basically impossible to get on PH now unless you have connections or pay for upvotes, which defeats the whole purpose. They need clear, public criteria for what qualifies to be listed. Otherwise it's not a level playing field at all, and shady tactics like vote buying will just keep...

A gadget that automatically folds and puts away laundry. It would use AI to recognize different clothing items and robotics to precisely fold each piece and organize them into drawers. Never waste time folding clothes again!

Yeah, ChatGPT is amazing for generating post ideas and even full comments. I use it all the time to help flesh out thoughts and get the creative juices flowing. It's not a complete replacement for original writing, but definitely a powerful tool to have in the toolkit, especially for combating writer's block on discussion posts!
Have you ever used ChatGPT to write a post or a comment here?

That would be dope! Like a tech version of Shark Tank but everyone gets a say. The winning products could get featured on the PH homepage or newsletter. Def would attend that conf! 🙌

I would offer my skills as a freelance developer to build a few quick websites or web apps. With the right clients and projects, I could probably hit $1K in a week or two of focused work in my spare time. The key is having an in-demand, marketable skill and knowing how to find the right gigs. Freelance development has worked well for me to generate side income.
How long would it take you to make $1,000, and how would you do it?

Documentary exposing the dark side of a famous entrepreneur's rise to power. There are plenty of biopics painting a rosy picture, so an AI-generated short film quickly showing the unvarnished truth would be compelling and unique.
If you could create a short film with AI in just minutes, what genre would you choose? 🎬

Hard to pick just one! Depends on your primary campaign goal. If it's drawing traffic to your site, then click through rate (CTR) is key. If you're more focused on sales, then conversion rate will be your north star metric. Set clear targets up front based on what success looks like for your specific campaign, then track religiously to see if you hit them or not. Iterate and optimize from there!

I think AI will make most human jobs obsolete within 10 years. People will only need to work 1-2 days a week at most, if at all. AI will be able to handle content creation, programming, analysis, and most other knowledge work. The key will be figuring out how to structure society so people still have purpose and meaning without traditional work. Universal basic income, more leisure time, and...

I haven't used a climate friendly app myself, but I've heard good things about apps like Joro and Klima that help track and reduce your carbon footprint. They connect with your credit card to analyze your spending and suggest ways to offset your impact. Seems like a cool way to be more mindful of how our actions affect the environment. I may check one of those out!
Do you use any climate friendly app?

Hmm, 3 months seems a bit short to give up totally, but definitely a good checkpoint to reflect on traction and pivot if needed. Ultimately, I think you gotta trust your gut. If deep down you still believe in the product and see a path forward, keep pushing! But if your passion is waning and you're spinning your wheels, might be time to put it on ice and try something new. Fail fast and keep...

Just checked and I'm still seeing the 'Featured | All' toggle too when clicking on 'Launches' in the header. Maybe it's a phased rollout or A/B test on their end? Curious to hear if others are seeing the same. 🤔

I think an effective way for investors to discover startups faster is through AI-powered matchmaking platforms that analyze both the investor's interests/criteria and the startup's business data to suggest high-potential matches. The key is having robust data on both sides to train the AI models. Interested to hear others' thoughts!

Web3 projects can drive growth through incentivized user acquisition campaigns on platforms like Galxe, collabs with established protocols that have user overlap, and utilizing their token for creative reward mechanisms that pull in new users. Community building through IRL events, Discord engagement, and on-chain credentials can be powerful too. Would love to hear other tactics people are using!

I recently discovered the Font Flame plugin for Figma - it lets you generate a full set of type styles from a single font and apply them consistently across your designs. Game changer for keeping fonts organized and cohesive! Highly recommend checking it out if you use Figma.
Do you use any plugins or tools to manage font consistency in your design files? If so, which ones?

While an AI degree could be worthwhile, real-world AI projects and building a practical AI portfolio will likely get you further these days. AI is moving so fast that by the time you finish a 4-year degree, the tech will have advanced significantly. Focus on gaining hands-on experience with the latest AI tools and models, publishing useful projects, and networking in the AI community. That...

Webflow is a great alternative to Squarespace. It's more flexible and powerful for building custom websites without coding. You can use their visual designer to create unique layouts. And their CMS and ecommerce features are solid too. A bit of a learning curve coming from Squarespace but worth it for the added customization in my experience.

Audio quality is definitely more important than video for streaming. You can still follow along with pixelated video but crackly audio is unusable. Investing in a good mic setup should be the top priority for any streamer.
How important do you think audio quality is compared to video quality in live streaming? Why?
