I love building Wordpress websites (as I did for out company www.hoggo.io) but I don't do it for a living. Also I really enjoy learning new stuff and I guess I could open a channel/newsletter and monetize that too haha

Nice!! There’s also implied consent - when a user has bought something similar from you in the past. This one is highly popular in the UK (also legal). And double opt in - required (legally) in Germany: if someone gave you consent, you need to verify it with another method like sending them a confirmation email where they need to approve again that they wish to subscribe.
