Valideate = Validate + Ideate (punny enough?)
Ideas always popped into my head, but I was always unsure if it was worth pursuing or not. 😕
Should I cold outreach and interview 100 people to validate this idea? But it cost me time!
Should I spend $100 on ads to validate this idea? But it costs money!
Is there a way for me to do a quick pulse check and get the green light I need to pursue and commit my time and money to this idea? 🤔
So I created Valideate! A quick way to get the validation you need to pursue your ideas further.
How does it work?
1. You can post your rough idea on validate for free, but it costs 1 point
2. To earn 1 point, you have to vote on 5 other ideas (sounds fair enough?)
3. That’s it!

The idea is not new, and in fact, it's done by many bootstrap influencers. They do pulse checks by writing tweets. Unfortunately, I don’t have that amount of followers. Perhaps this community can be an alternative to that.
This is an MVP, and I’ll look to improve it. Furthermore, it’s something I want to use myself. I hope it solves your problem too and is a product you'll enjoy using.

I'll do so. The app is super MVP at the moment and lacking in branding, something I will look into after further validation :) Will let you know when the time comes!
This is very good! I know it is still in MVP but you should consider adding a "Not Relevant To Me" button with the Interested/ Not Interested buttons since quite a few ideas are quite niche like coding or for mac users only, which can be irrelevant to some and can lead to bad data. Other than that it's pretty good. Also add an option to validate username users.

I think Not Relevant To Me makes total sense; let me try to add it immediately.
On users, that's something I want to add when there's enough traffic & community. It'll be great to look deeper into insights on who voted and open a communication channel to discuss and ask for further feedback.
For now, I'm thinking of making it very frictionless for people to do two main things:
1. Post their idea
2. Vote on other ideas
