TeenUP was created to give kids a platform to learn new skills each day from their peers. The app allows kids to quickly and easily create short, unique, educational videos to share with friends and the world.

I’m @olga_ivanenko, the CEO at TeenUP. We are a Belarus-based startup enabling kids to learn something new every day from the people they prefer to learn from most — each other!
We are part of the startup accelerator Sber500 in Moscow, which is a collaboration with 500 Startups. It’s so inspiring to share our initial launch with the Product Hunt community!
One day, my son asked me to find educational videos about math that could help him understand all kinds of difficult equations. What I found was a good video about math, but it was boring! He said to me, “Mom, can you find a fun and cool video about math?” I had no idea what to do — but then (and he’s so smart!), he suggested videos from other kids would be much more exciting! And easier for him to understand.
It was this moment that inspired me to build a platform where kids could share their ideas and knowledge with others.
Today I’m happy to share our initial version of TeenUP with other parents and people who want to help invest in kids’ education! We focused on creating a family-friendly and safe environment in our platform. We work hard to prevent bullying as well, using technology, human moderation, and feedback from parents to protect kids and parents alike.
Our first students (and their parents!) love TeenUP because it allows them to gain new knowledge in short, fun videos. And we’re avoiding discredited engagement tactics (such as dislikes) that have resulted in negative behavior on other platforms.
We also have a special category of content so that more experienced students and education professionals can teach younger students as well. Maybe you can help kids learn to launch their own startup someday too?
