Hello Product Hunters ๐Ÿ‘‹ I am super excited to introduce you to SQLPilot! You may have worked with SQL, and it's something must for developers. I used to rely on ChatGPT to generate queries for me and discovered that many of my colleagues with less technical backgrounds also use ChatGPT for query generation and analysis. While ChatGPT is incredibly helpful, it comes with its own set of problems! Problems ๐Ÿ˜ถ: ChatGPT doesn't know your schema and relationships, which affects query accuracy. You need to copy and paste your schema to craft better queries. There are online tools that help build queries but require you to provide credentials to connect to the database or supply the schema, which raises significant privacy concerns. This was a major pain point for me and many others. To solve this, I decided to build a SQL editor with AI query generation ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. With SQLPilot, you can: Connect to multiple database sources like MySQL and Postgres (support for other databases coming soon). Work locally, so you don't have to share your schema like you do with other popular tools. Simply mention the table in the prompt with @, and the model will recognize its columns, types, and relationships to generate accurate queries. Execute the queries, filter out results, and export them as CSV. I warmly invite you to try out SQLPilot. Whether you are a beginner or advanced in SQL, it has something for everyone! Use code PRODUCTHUNT25 to get 25% off on the Pro plan!

@shobhit98 Big shoutout for your launch! Wishing you endless success and new opportunities. Whatโ€™s your vision for the future of this project?

@kjosephabraham Yes @kjosephabraham we are planning multiple things 1. We are enhancing our model to eliminate the need for sending schemas to ChatGPT. This will improve the accuracy and relevance of the output. 2. Implementing a fully natural language interface that automatically recognizes and selects tables, so you donโ€™t have to mention them explicitly. 3. Expanding support to include more database sources such as Redshift, MSSQL, SQLite, and ClickHouse (as recommended by Kyrylo). 4. Introducing data visualizations for query results. If you would like anything to be added, please feel free to share your ideas! will def work upon that

This sounds incredibly useful for both beginners and advanced users of SQL. Any plans to support more database types in the near future? Congrats on the launch!

@kyrylosilin Yes definitely Kyrylo, planning to add Redshift, MSSQL up next, if you have any specific database that you want to be added, let me know. will add that as well

Hi, does it work if my table is a csv instead of a database? Would love to learn more. We are looking for something like this for our product but we are not a data storage provider
shobhit
@yc_j Hi Yichen, currently it's database only but sure we can do this for csv, can you send me your requirements here contact@sqlpilot.ai i will work on it and come up with the solution
YC J
@shobhit98 already did!
