If you've ever highlighted something - a book, PDF, or document - and needed to reference it later this app can help. SnippetStash will extract your highlights from a photo and allow you to easily search, categorize, add notes, and view the original context.

Hello ProductHunt community! I'm Elijah, the creator of SnippetStash. It's a free tool to turn pictures into a organized collection of highlighted snippets that you can easily search and reference. This project was something I created for my own personal use. I primarily read non-fiction and have a habit of highlighting certain snippets that stand out to me for later reference. After a while though, I realized that I rarely revisited these ideas and my effort was in vain. The issue was that these snippets were not easy to find across an entire bookshelf. Surprisingly, I couldn't find any existing tools to solve this problem. Copying everything into notes or a Word document might work, but it doesn't preserve the original context. If I wanted something like this I'd have to build it myself - so that's exactly what I did. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts or feedback you have!

Hey Elijah! This is such a clever idea! It’s super relatable for anyone who's ever lost track of their highlights. Turning all those snippets into something easy to reference sounds like a game changer for readers like me. Love how you took a personal need and built something useful! Have you thought about any plans for future features? Keep rocking it, man!

@blankwebdev Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! I do have plans for new features and improvements with the primary one being creating an IOS app. It would make the upload process much smoother and allow for easy reference from anywhere. Of course, I'm always open to suggestions as well :)
