π What exactly is this?
Sidequest enables you to easily create, receive and track personal and support team tasks entirely inside Slack, combining the best features of traditional ticketing systems and modern task managers. It is ideal for tech, HR, infrastructure or office management helpdesks, but also works great as a peer-to-peer productivity tool to send tickets back and forth between workspace members.
With Sidequest, you can send tasks either to a person inside your workspace, or straight to a channel that you have enabled to be a helpdesk. You can have up to 100 helpdesks inside your Slack workspace. Define due dates for tasks and make sure everybody always has the same understanding about the status of a task.
Chat and exchange files and emoji reactions inside tickets to clarify open questions or document the outcome of a task. Use CC lists to make sure everybody is in the loop. Leverage the customizable Sidequest Daily Briefing to stay on top of tasks β both these that you are working on yourself, and those that you are waiting for to be done.
Sidequest is entirely embedded into Slack. There is no separate web interface to learn, no accounts to set up, and we're everywhere where Slack is. After installation, a short onboarding tour will introduce you to the most important features.
