Over the last ~ 18 months my family has become a huge power user of Preply. My sons take English and French lessons (and enjoy them much more than school 😉), and my wife has started to learn Italian. Really excited about the launch of group lessons, which make it even more fun and more affordable for people around the world to learn or brush up their English! PS: I'm a co-founder of www.pointnine.com, which is an investor in Preply, so I'm biased, but everything I said about Preply is true. :)

They have the best tutors! I have been learning French (and trying Spanish) with a few different tutors and even have one for my daughter. It's really easy to find someone that can cater to your interests/learning needs; it's so great to have a fully personalized learning experience. I have made so much progress since I added a tutor to the mix; there's only so far you can get with gamified apps

I’ve been working as a Spanish tutor on Preply for a while now, and honestly, it’s been one of the most fulfilling experiences. I love how easy it is to connect with students from all over the world — people with different backgrounds, stories, and reasons for learning. It makes every lesson unique and exciting. What I really appreciate about Preply is how well the platform is built. Scheduling is simple, communication is smooth, and there are so many helpful tools for teaching. But beyond the tech side, what really stands out to me is the support. You feel that you’re not just another tutor on a list — you’re part of a community that values what you do. I’m genuinely grateful to work through Preply. It gives me the freedom to teach in a way that feels natural, the chance to grow professionally, and most of all, to share the beauty of the Spanish language with others. If you’re thinking about teaching online, I couldn’t recommend Preply more!

I just moved to Norway and I was trying to learn Norwegian with Duolingo, but it was awful. Until I tried Preply, absolutely loved my tutor Maria, finally learned to not be afraid to speak with other Norwegians (not only in the store). It is hard to get Norwegians to talk, but now it feels like a have a newfound superpower.
