Stay away... bad experience as a parent of a student. Be very careful when buying hours. The app will tell you to buy more hours at a discount, and that you can refund unused hours... but it doesnt tell you of the fineprint which can stop you from refunding hours. I think this is unethical and unfair and want to caution any parent/student to not fall victim to such malpractice. Very disappointing that a good business idea has to resort to such dubious ways to make money. Finding alternatives, do let me know any good ones out there.
I am extremely disappointed with the deceiving auto refill and refund policy and the uncaring and dismissive customer service. Avoid the auto-refill at all cost! It was intentionally made for money grab. Read the other reviews of this topic! I would use other services out there that do business honestly and with care to their customers.
I love Preply. I can easily find a language tutor that adapts to my time availability. I totally recommend it.
They took away 12 credit from my balance apparently if you dont use your credits for 4 weeks they just steal them. The credits were worth 100 usd. Absolute awful company.
New and very important product on Preply. If you like to learn a languages and like do to it with friends, you will enjoy this feature!
Terrible customer service. After requesting a refund for my unused hours, one customer service agent (her name is Lara) offered to give me a refund -- but said to write back to her later in the week as they were having "technical difficulties" with their refund system. After writing back, another customer service agent said they couldn't give the refund and apologized for the "misinformation." It's not that I have an issue with their refund policy, it's the fact that they promised a refund, gave me the runaround, and they went back on their word.
