I backed what was falsely advertised as in production and soon to be shipped on Kickstarter. It was all false advertising and took a year to get my money back as the storey continued to change. I demanded for privacy my details be removed from their database.
Here we are 3 years later and they finally got what appears to be a bad product to market and now I’m bombarded by illegal emails as they had to remove my details under privacy laws.
What do I think, sham company, illegal practices and poor product.
I brought my own bin, good but biodegrading bags and use my metal pooper scooper. Costs less, works better, no flies, no mess and no illegal emails.
Stay away.
It lets flies breed because the lid doesn't sit on tight. The tabs inside rip the bag up on removal. Locks intended to hold bag in place constantly fall out. Paul is top heavy and product is generally all around cheap. Home Depot bucket with lid and a metal ash can scooper will cost about 10 bucks and way surpass the quality of poo Paul. White trash bags from Costco are cheap as well. Avoid poompail.
I LOVE my PooPail. It's the best way to keep my yard clean. I noticed the complaints listed here were not about PooPail, but because it took so long for delivery. Well, it was worth the wait.
I backed this project on kickstarter over two years ago. I honestly gave up on it, and I know the owner went through many problems with COVID. It finally arrived Jan 2023. I am very pleased with the design and ease of use. I have two large dogs and the weather on the east coat of Canada is very rainy. So there are some days that I cannot pick up after my dogs because my back yard turns into a very shallow pond. I have the medium height one. It saves my back from having to bend over, and I’ll admit I am not getting any younger. The scoop is perfect hwighr for me (5’5”) to sweep/fling poop right into the pail. The only way I think the design could be improved is by offering a metal scoop option for customers that live in areas where winter freeze happens. I don’t want to break the plastic but I did not trust it was strong enough to pry frozen poop that had previously been rained on from the ground.
Otherwise, I am so glad this finally arrived and it made my clean up job today after 3 straight days of rain, followed by an overnight freeze, much easier.
