speaking as a developer: a great search for developers, no ads and privacy is great. connected apps like gmail and drive are amazing. github on the other hand completely useless. support is amazing. but I really have to complain about the website itself. doesn´t matter how large your screen is, neeva does not care, it only uses the same width, so wasting 80% of my screen is stupid, but that´s my personal opinion here. but you can easily solve that with some custom CSS ;) after all, neeva is great time saver, I wish I could connect custom apps so neeva could search in external apps via API, a killer feature, but today, it looks like, they have focus on other things, which is sad. because connecting my own apps (apis or feeds) neeva would be able to search inside, would be a killer feature, and the possibilities with that would be endless. i still hope, they understand someday ;)
The new AI summary 'widget' at the top of the results area is the compelling differentiator from other search engine options IMO. Often people are searching for a simple answer to a question, not a list of links that we have to evaluate and then go off and read to get that answer. By summarizing and answering the question at the top of the search results, while also creating a dynamic subset of reference links used to generate that summary, it's a fairly comprehensive approach to satisfying the balance between 'just answer my question' AND 'but let me quickly and easily dig into the details (curated best list of sources) behind it if I want to'.
Neeva continues to get better and better and if you want to find an alternative to Google search and also have no ads this is the search engine for you.
Believable AI is amazing. On top of no ads, spaces, serious privacy, amazing communication with users, and bias busting, it’s a great value and my primary search tool. Honest answers not ad boosted content.
