Lunchclub is an AI superconnector backed by a16z that makes introductions for 1:1 lunch and coffee meetings. Our mission is to power a future of work where making new connections is easy, meaningful, and fun.
I used LunchClub several years ago, but the service has since stagnated. There's no way to influence who you're matched with or from which field they come. This inability to control your matches undermines the entire concept. In contrast, Osmos allows you to enter a query in natural language, enabling you to specify the industry and professional experience of the people you want to connect with.
This was the best app ever at the beginning, literally.
Then they removed location filter.
Then the app stopped working - can't meet and not getting suggestions to swipe at all.
Tried on multiple devices, any possible solution on the client side (as I'm a dev myself) to no end.
And what finished it for me - Contacted support dozen times about the issue, never got any help, nor even an answer to my emails.
5 start turned 1 star. Sad.
A great tool to make new professional connections online. Very simple, straightforward interface. Set your goals and preferences, get notifies about calls with your new connection in your calendar. Available time slots are tied to your geography, which limits flexibility. I met many extraordinary people via Lunchclub
Initially, I found the app to be satisfactory and met some remarkable individuals through it. However, as time passed, I observed that it failed to offer me meaningful matches. Furthermore, the option to filter connections based on location was deactivated, which diminished the app's utility for me.
