Hi ProductHunt 👋! We've been working on BrewCat as a small team for almost a year now, and we're really excited to get it in front of more users. I'd like to outline some of the features that makes BrewCat interesting.

🤖 AI-assisted dial-in:
We’ve built a prompting engine that sends your brewing history, tasting notes, equipment, and preferences to an LLM. In return, it suggests a recommendation for your next brew. We are quite excited about this feature since during initial testing it was really helpful for novice brewers to get a better understanding of the dial-in process.

📐 Extraction Meter:
Another key feature that sets us apart from the other coffee tracking apps. I always wanted a way to visualize the range of variables I’d already tried with a given bag, so I built a visualization that maps your brews using four variables: grind size, ratio, temperature, and dose.

There is a lot of things that impact extraction during the brewing process, and we’re still refining the math behind this feature.

We initially kept things simple to start with, and we’re planning to expand gradually with features for advanced users. Let us know what you're missing!

Some notes for getting started:

Simple signup with SSO - use an email address or Google account.
Onboarding asks you to add your equipment and preferences. This helps personalize AI suggestions and estimate extraction.
Each bag is unique (even from the same roastery), so you’ll need to log them separately based on roast date.
The extraction meter won’t be very helpful until you log multiple brews and rate them. Over time, it becomes a visual reference of how thoroughly you've explored a bag.
