Bonfire Journey
Hey :) We’re so excited to be launching Bonfire!
We've listened closely to your feedback on meeting your financial needs, and packed it neatly into an app. We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all model, so we wanted to make a product that adapts to your unique life stage and goals. We also strongly believe that the key to financial success is to look ahead and focus on big-picture financial planning since the past can't be changed! Your bank already provides tools to analyse your past expenses, so you don't need an app for that. But with our unique approach, you'll have a personalized financial roadmap and the power to make a real change!
If you want an app to input your every expense like a spreadsheet, Bonfire might not be for you. However, if you want:
An in-pocket advisor
A personalized retirement plan
Financial health metrics
Budget and net worth predictions
A financial educator
Then that's exactly what we do!
But most importantly, we answer your important questions such as: How much do I need to retire? Can I afford my dream home? Should I cut back on eating out? Can I go on vacation every year? Will I reach FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early)? Should I aim for a higher-paying job? When should I start saving for my kids' college?
Most people don’t have a clear picture of their financial future and would really benefit from accessible and personalized planning without hiring a financial advisor.
We're growing the app feature by feature based on your support, so let's discuss your needs! Check it out and let us know what you think! ✨
@olibonfire a cool tool. are you guys active on socials?
upvoted. good luck with the launch!

@taniabell Hi! Thank you so much for your support, it's very appreciated :) We're currently semi-active on social media, we've been trying to build in public and find innovators, so we're targeting more community and group discussions rather than just posting.
Bonfire Journey
@masump Well said and thank you for your support!! I genuinely hope it can help you and others with planning your future :)
@olibonfire cool. and how is it going?
Bonfire Journey
@olibonfire @taniabell Hi! I'm in charge of the marketing, I can answer the question better. I have had some success with Reddit communities but it's very very time consuming, as well as strict guidelines. I'm starting to look into more concentrated forums, Facebook groups and finance Youtubers. Still exploring for now, but hopefully it works better!

How does this app take into account international differences in the financial sector? Because probably I cannot apply the US metrics to my European country when it comes to e.g. retirement plans as the environment is quite different (laws, taxes and so on.).
Bonfire Journey
@busmark_w_nika That's an excellent question! We specifically designed the app not to be based on taxes, laws or currencies as they are different everywhere. It follows a "money in, money out" system. After inputting your net incomes, expenses, assets and liabilities as well as setting your metrics (age, life expectancy, inflation rate, return on assets rate, etc.), it simply calculates how much money you'll need to retire (keeping your same standard of living), and at what age that will be possible. Basically we use how fast you're able to save and how much you spend to determine how much money you'll need to cover all your expenses. So you can set your own income and expenses according to your tax rates, government benefits, etc. I hope this clears it up, but if you have more questions don't hesitate!

Good to know. Thank you for making it more clear to me. :)
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! The focus on big-picture planning and answering important financial questions is spot-on. Excited to see how this evolves—keep up the great work! 🌟
