Bolt is great and I've created lots of nearly functional apps with it and many websites. I don't code hence being excited to use this. The tokens are a generous amount but it's unfortunate that they still get consumed when there's errors because solving the errors can take quite a while. I wonder if the "undo" aspect should also undo the tokens used? Just from guessing i'd say 50% of mine were spent on this.

It doesn't work properly. Bolt couldn't fix a simple API validation problem inside a generated app, but it consumed about four million tokens trying to do so. It seems like bolt.new doesn't support "DeepThink"-like capabilities. It negligently repeats the exact same steps and "fixes" every time. Even worse, it literally took me less than 20 seconds to locate and fix the error by myself.

⚠️ I was a paid Pro user on Bolt with a 60 million token plan. I requested to cancel my subscription temporarily, with the intention to use my remaining tokens and possibly resubscribe later. Support confirmed in writing that my token pack would remain available. But after canceling: My token balance was reset to 0 The discussion/chat feature stopped working entirely, showing “Error occurred. Retry” Support stopped replying for several days until I followed up again Even now, my issue is not resolved — I’ve lost access to what I paid for, and the broken UI hasn’t been fixed. On top of that, when you ask Bolt to fix a simple bug or syntax issue, it often rewrites the entire file, breaks your UI/UX structure, and still fails to fix the original problem. It feels like it rewrites excessively just to consume more tokens, which is a terrible user experience. I had high hopes for Bolt, but this kind of support and behavior is unacceptable — especially for paying users. If they fix it, I’ll update this review. But for now, I can’t recommend using it for real work.

Title: Lost 18.6M Tokens – No Resolution for Over 5 Hours Review/Message: I’ve been using Bolt (by StackBlitz) for a while and recently upgraded to a paid plan on June 29. After subscribing, I had 20M tokens, of which I only used 1.4M, leaving me with 18.6M tokens. Unexpectedly, my token balance dropped to 670K, and despite having no prior rollover or usage issues, support has not resolved this for over 5 hours. I’ve submitted screenshots, browser data, and explained the situation clearly, yet no actual fix—only promises that my case is being reviewed. This has blocked me from continuing a critical project with a deadline, and the delay has significantly impacted my productivity and trust in the platform. If I knew this would happen, I would have taken a snapshot of my token balance. I’m sharing this publicly because I believe in transparency—and because private support channels haven’t delivered a solution.

I used this to build a landing page from scratch. It was able to product a clean reactjs application that I was then able to ship via Vercel. I was also able to add some already built react components that it was able to integrate seamlessly into the page. Awesome tool worth playing around with!
