I was one of the first people to join #200wad & I loved it. Had to stop writing due to festivals but will come back again. I only have ~10 posts but still I feel like it has made me a better writer already. Basile is building it in public & loved the way it has shapen up. Keep going Baz ✍️
Are you a bad writer?
You aren't until you prove it to this community. If you write 200 words a day for one year and your writing skill doesn't improve — maybe you are not a very good writer. But until then — you can't say that you are bad or good at it.
And if you really want it, I'm sure this platform could help you become a better writer — just be consistent and keep writing and learning!
Practice. Every. Day.
I'd been using it for 1 month now and had never written so much within such a short period. 200 words per day is a surprisingly low barrier. I often start thinking I won't make it to 200 words but before I know it, it's past 300 words already. It's like the motivation hack where you do 1 rep in your workout. Streaks were super helpful in nudging me to keep at it. Love the minimalist, distraction-free interface for writing. Best part is getting inspiration for writing from others in the community! We borrow ideas, formats, and questions that lead us to writing our own piece. The community is probably the most exciting and promising part of the product.
It is a simple tool to reinforce your habit of writing 200 words a day. It is also an awesome community of the people interesting writing and honing their writing skills.
