After eight months of development and testing, we are finally launching our product - Trancy.
Let me briefly tell you the story of Trancy.
### Why have we built it?
As a non-native English-speaking product manager, I don't have much time to learn a new language. However, I've found that watching YouTube has significantly improved my English listening skills. Though tools like Language Reactor and Ejoy have been helpful, their user experience is not yet satisfactory. So, I'm designing and optimizing YouTube to become an effective language learning tool. Practicing language while watching favorite videos is wonderful!
### How does it help?
We made a simple chrome extension, so you can turn YouTube and Netflix into personalized study materials. You can build your vocabulary and grammar skills, Improve your listening and speaking abilities.
We have recently integrated the popular OpenAI technology to further enhance our ability to define words and parse grammar.
Trancy supports learning in multiple languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Hindi, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese.

The overall experience has a lot of good ideas and design, but there is one problem: when you switch pages in immersive translation mode (such as switching between directories in help documents), the translated content does not switch with it.
