Current tools make it hard to hear your thoughts. Totallib’s note-taking experience powered by GPT-3 lets you write to think. Compound your knowledge through linked notes — from the small seed to the big picture. Spark new ideas with AI-augmented writing.
Elegant User Interface, but it seems like no updates since last year. Wondering that if we could have any chance to get new features, customer support, or desk/iOS APP.
@bohdank I'd also make it optional for those who research questions of gender, sexism, and politics. Mandatory censorship, i.e. in MS Word, is a real pain for those who work with social studies, interviews, and the *real* world of real people.
@vitaly_patinskas Sure, thanks for pointing this out! This is something we'll be exploring with OpenAI in the future to allow specific use cases that involve such language.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Illia, Totallib’s co-founder.
We all keep different notes for as long as we can remember. When we read books/articles or listen to podcasts, we often want to write things down. Our team tried everything from mind maps to a fashionable Cornell Note-Taking System. But all of it proved ineffective for better thinking.
Our brain is a beehive of associations, but we are taught to think linearly. Thus, our knowledge doesn’t accrete to help us discover original thinking.
Totallib lets you achieve better, more creative thinking through connected note-taking.
Why you should try it?
✍🏻Undistracted writing. Modern apps try to do too much. In Totallib, you open a note and write — just like on paper. Simplicity is the new luxury.
⌘Connected thoughts & notes. Hierarchy kills creativity. Totallib lets link notes between each other, so you can build new ideas on top of them.
🤖 Writing augmented by AI. Writing is a phenomenal tool for thought. However, many people never start writing. Whenever you are stuck on a sentence for hours, an AI writing assistant helps you get through it. Just select the text passage you want to develop, click the button, and explore a novel train of thought. No more writer's block or blank page syndrome.

The product is live, so you can request access on our website – https://totallib.com. I’m excited to hear what you all think!
Dangerous tech imo because it removes the ideosyncrasies of the individual and the free will choice to explore variation and anomaly.
The completion of a thought would come from a database of informaiton not unlike Wikipedia for example, which is a corrupted and influenced body of data. If one surrenders their thoughts and feelings to a supplmental thinking simulation machine, why bother thinking at all? Allow the machines to do all of the thinking and reduce Humans to mere transport devices, ironcally, including carrying the machine that are thinking for them.
Yes, information is speeding up and keeping up is a nightmare, but modifying Humanity to adapt to a machine is the wrong way to go, given that this is step one leading to an integrated (internal) version similar to the intent of today's vaccines.
Don't look back on these decisions with regret when the inherent problems are easy to discern today...
>If one surrenders their thoughts and feelings to a supplmental thinking simulation machine, why bother thinking at all?
Human brain is a machine as well, which can be stimulated by the sound of a bird... but also with ML algorithms. For the thinking process AI is more relevant than for driving cars, I believe.
@johngil Hi John, thanks for the profound thoughts. But in Totallib, an individual is still a key decision maker. It's up to you to decide in which way you want take down your thoughts. Machine is just a prompt, a so-called kick in the butt to help you achieve what you're capable of faster, better, and more reliably.
@bohdank I suppose I would have to try it to better understand but my skepticism remains. There's a fine line between supplementing and replacing. Once behavior is fully simulated, a machine will logically imagine itself behaving properly to impose past solutions where the current solution requires something unique. You claim these are nudges. There still must be contexual assumptions made. I generally favor the artist who requires uninterrupted flow. Perhaps that's why completion, or nudges feels to be impositional. Will investigate further, and likely comment further. ;)
@bohdank Your very first window says, "Machine Lets you Write to Think." Just sayin'. The exciting, exotic and blinding Nature of science must be kept in check so that no machine is ever pre-empting Human expression. Read the incredible book 'Understanding Media' by Mashall McCluhan...
