Hey Product Hunters! 👋
We launched ToolJet 0.5.3 here in June 2021, and what a journey it has been since then! 🚀 Fast forward to today, our GitHub repository now has over 30k stars and contributions from more than 500 developers. ToolJet is now trusted by thousands of teams worldwide to build, deploy, and maintain internal tools efficiently, reducing the dependency on engineering teams.
Today, we’re thrilled to introduce ToolJet 3.0 — the next big leap for our low-code platform! 🎉
Why ToolJet 3.0?
We’ve reimagined ToolJet from the ground up, focusing on performance, scalability, and flexibility. With this release, we’re addressing the needs of engineering teams who want a fast, reliable, and customizable framework without compromising on privacy or control. Let’s dive into what’s new:
🚀 What’s New in ToolJet 3.0
⚡️ Blazing Fast Performance: We’ve completely overhauled the architecture, making ToolJet 3.0 faster and more responsive, even for complex applications with hundreds of queries and components.
🎯 Enhanced App Builder: The drag-and-drop builder is now better than ever, with improved UX and support for building more sophisticated, multi-page applications.
💡 Workflows is Officially Here: Workflows are now publicly available after being in beta for many months. Improved error handling and debugging gives you clear insights into workflow execution, while multi-environment deployments and webhook triggers make integrating with external services smoother.
🧑💻👩💻 Better Developer Experience: Our plugin system is even more powerful, allowing developers to extend ToolJet effortlessly with JavaScript/TypeScript. Plus, our CLI tools have been upgraded for seamless plugin development.
⚙️ New Integrations: We now support even more data sources, including integrations with Databricks, Supabase, and enhanced support for Salesforce and OpenAI APIs.
🔐 Improved Security & Compliance: Enterprise-ready features like SAML, LDAP, group sync for OIDC, and advanced audit logs ensure your data remains secure and compliant.
We believe that software with access to sensitive company data should be hostable on your own infrastructure. ToolJet 3.0 embodies this philosophy — it’s open, flexible, and puts you in control. You can deploy ToolJet on Docker, Kubernetes, or any cloud provider using our comprehensive deployment guides.
We’ll be here all day responding to your questions and feedback. We’re excited to hear your thoughts and see how you’ll use ToolJet 3.0!
Check it out, and let us know what you think. 🙌
@navaneeth_pk1 Wow, congratulations on this massive milestone with ToolJet 3.0! 🎉 The growth to 30k GitHub stars and 500+ contributors speaks volumes about the community's trust in your vision!
@navaneeth_pk1 Hey Navneeth. Congrats on the newest launch. I have been a user of Softr and found it to be a great app builder. What makes Tooljet unique (when compared to Softr). Any distinct advantage over it? Would love to feature the app on my platform as well.
Congratulations on the launch! Glad to know this new version ensures security at a higher level. And the flexibility of ToolJel is appealing. Good luck!
Congrats on the launch of ToolJet 3.0! This looks like a game-changer for quickly building custom apps. What's your favorite new feature in this release?
@ihuzaifashoukat Hi Huzaifa,
Thanks for the excitement! It’s hard to pick a favorite—ToolJet 3.0 is packed with standout features. Performance alone deserves a major spotlight; the apps are 10x faster and smoother. The new grid system brings pixel-perfect alignment, giving you precise control over layouts. But workflows, an expanded integration ecosystem, AI functionalities, and enterprise-grade security features are huge parts of this release too.
ToolJet is a game-changer for anyone trying to get into web app development or prototyping! I was amazed by how simple it was to use. Even with limited experience with similar softwares, I could quickly build prototypes that felt super complex at first. It’s intuitive, beginner-friendly, and honestly just fun to work with.
What I love most is how approachable the community is—they’re always ready to help, no matter how basic or tricky your question is. It’s like having a team of supportive friends who genuinely want you to succeed.
