An app for product teams to manage lean startup experiments and collect customer evidence all in one place. It provides a guided framework based on lean startup principles to learn what ideas work best for your business.
As a product manager, I've always believed in the lean start up. However, wherever I have worked, I've always found it really difficult to apply in practice.
I built Proofbase to help with this , by giving you and your team an easy to follow workflow for testing out ideas, using lean principles - all in one place.
Hey, congrats on the launch, and cheers on your work! I'm a lean methodology myself. Could you share besides the portal to help track and manage the hypothesis, does it offer an additional feature/integration to help me either deeper insight or speed up experimenting? Thanks!
@vunq thanks very much for your comment, really appreciated.
You can create an experiment by clicking the "add experiment" in the experiment tab on a hypothesis.
The app just now allows you to add findings (or insights) to your hypotheses or experiments by clicking "add finding". Here you can note down what you have observed , and also attach supporting evidence such as analytics screen shots or customer interview scripts to back up what you found. This is organised in one place - meaning its quite handy to refer back to.
In terms of speeding up experimenting, I am planning on adding "experiment templates" , where you can choose a pre-defined experiment such as a customer interview, landing page test or feature launch, and then track it in the app to prove your hypohteses. This will offer best practice tips, case studies and guidance on how to carry out these experiments - so I am hoping that will help you and your team speed up experimenting.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with, as I'm very keen to build something that really helps fellow lean methodists !
@jamie_freyne During months of experimenting product and continuing the loop build, experiment, collect feedback,..One significant issue that happened to me was that I got overwhelmed by the data collected, each feedback from a user contains multiple points, some points are very popular among others feedback and are very valuable, and some point are not applicable. Well I have to break down ton of feedbacks, category them, but often, get lost on what is most matter and what should be lower priority.
Just sharing some of pain points I encountered overtime, may be it could be helpful in some way.
@vunq thanks very much for sharing these insights. It's so useful for us - we feel your pain as well.
Leave it with us to brainstorm how we could adapt Proofbase to better categorise and assess the feedback that you collect from customers to help make this easier.
Right now I'd say Proofbase is more positioned as a framework to help guide teams apply the lean startup in practice, and organise their work around de-risking the critical business hypotheses. Our functionality is quite basic in terms of feedback categorisation just now, but we will improve!
